I sincerely believe that the ability to WRITE improves your ability to THINK & hence your ability to SPEAK. I bring to you, one of my writing (and thinking) idols, Author Amish. Well known for his SHIVA Trilogy (The Immortals of Meluha, The Secret of the Nagas, The Oath of the Vayuputras) & his RAMAYANA Trilogy (Ram: Scion of Ikshvaku, Sita: Warrior of Mithila, Raavan: Enemy of Aryavarta and Legend of Suheldev: The King Who Saved India).
This man is a GOLDMINE of ancient Indian knowledge. While many of our podcasts deal with career growth and life hacks, this was detailed, thought-provoking conversation on the secrets of Indian history. Discussed everything from the current coronavirus pandemic to the truth behind the Mahabharata war.
Author Amish also spoke in detail about his creative process and how he believes that it is intensely spiritual to CREATE anything that is commercially consumed. Some mind-bending thoughts and theories are wrapped in this one. Author Amish was one of my favorite guests on our podcast.
His latest book on Suheldev is about another great historical figure who succeeded in uniting Indians against the invading Turks. Lots of inspirational stories packed into this one. Author Amish's take on Indian history and stories will give you motivation. depth of thought AND a deep admiration for India & its culture. Enjoy this special episode of The Ranveer Show.

In the video, Amish mentioned that India has never been a source of a pandemic. This is true. One of the reasons is that Sanaatan Dharm has not been a religion as we understand religions today. Sanaatan is a way of living. The practices of Sanaatan Dharm enveloped medicine, health, food and aachar (conduct). One such example is the practice of Yagnas during which fire was lit and shlokas were chanted in sanskrit. The vibrations of the chant and the material combusted in fire had a direct effect on killing the microbes in the surroundings. So, we can say that in India, our ancestors had pre-empted the harmful effect of microbes and had devised a solution keep them away. Water stored in copper containers developed medicinal quality and we still have the practice of using only copper utencils/containers in temples. Once in a 12 year Kumbh mela is to avail the opportunity of taking a dip in the water which at that particular time develops medicinal qualities due to a unique once in a 12 year angle of incidence of the rays of the Sun. Our ancestors knew a lot.

It's true that in schools we learn older history only in Sanskrit classes. History classes start from Mughals and British raj...I learnt about all the ancient scholars like jimutavahana his book Dāyabhāga, also other books like Mitākṣarā in my Sanskrit class. They were the basis for inheritence law by the British. When the Brits came here, they had many flaws in their laws. They took many cues from Sanskirt smritis. I never regret choosing Sanskrit as my 1st language in school. It was probably one of my best decisions...It changes your way of thinking...and seeing at everything....

Yes. A much better worldview than you get in English. The west needs social justice, secularism, atheism to solve their issues of blasphemy, intolerance in how the Abrahamic worldview of faith evolved and their cultural history. We don't need most of these ideologies coz the cultural evolution and dharmic worldview is completely different and much clearer because of much ancient history/no. of years of evolution. Sanskrit is automatically an inclusive language that focuses on terms of philosophies various English language categorizes and divides. English is great for modern science that seeks to categorize but Sanskrit and Indian dharmic worldview is MUCH better for understanding life and stronger inclusive social fabric.

"politically" not together. Don't forget that. There was shared culture and traditions but rarely a unified administrative entity. Notable exceptions being ashoka, Aurangzeb. It was the british, in the sense that the disdain towards their rule united india to form a union and our freedom fighter fostered a national identity instead of a regional, religious or ethnic identity which lead to republic of India

It was a wonderful podcast, actually inspired me to learn Sanskrit. Ranveer regarding writing your own book, I wanna tell you u are on right track, also use the timeline in which u started it and finally completing it. Since the main audience who is going to read your book is going to be of age group when you started writing it. U wrote it 8 times, use it, understand what fascinated you then and what advice you wanted back then, understand the sense of maturity a 22 yr old guy had. All the best.

India is liberal country and was forever. We were not hypocrite to counter only one religion. Ram killed a hindu ( a devoted one) because he did wrong while new indian conservatives stand with rapists until they are from their religion.

Okay folks let's settle this argument. As per the google the word 'Liberal' means ' willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas." The synonyms are 'wide range', 'broad based' 'general' and the most funny one 'humanistic'. Now take a moment to recall the flagbearers of FOS and liberalism and try to correlate their idea of liberalism and the definition provided by the google. For most liberalism can be just an open mindset environment but for me it's an idealism which has been tainted and wrongly projected by the torchbearers. Damn why is it hard for people to digest the fact that literacy and education are two different terms with a huge difference in their meanings

My most favorite podcast till date.... as a follower of Hinduism and my family virtues at many times I have got questions of this kind, at it is because of I know how to read original Sanskrit texts, I am able to answer most of it like the exact way Amish did. And you Ranveer has a natural way of driving a storytelling session and breaking up things to gullible portions for general public level understanding. I will definitely share this podcast with the curious minds (whom I have already explained) for better clarity. More powers and positive energies to you Brother.
