India thanks Arnold Dix | The man behind successful rescue operations at Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse

The whole nation was worried when a portion of this under-construction tunnel collapsed on November 12. 41 men were trapped inside the tunnel and rescue teams from different government agencies roped in. The herculean task of the safe evacuation of 41 stranded men in the Silkyara tunnel was completed on Nov 28. During 16 days of continuous rescue operations, one expert from Australia hogged limelight for his tireless efforts. Arnold Dix, an International tunnelling expert, assured Indians that 41 men would reach home safely before Christmas. The rescue teams faced several difficulties as the operations continued, but they kept their spirits high. Finally, the task was completed and 41 men reached home safely, as Australian professor Arnold had promised. Indians are now thanking Arnold Dix for his continuous and tireless efforts during the rescue operations. Australian PM Anthony Albanese has also lauded Arnold for his commendable job during the rescue ops.
Arnold is the President of the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association. Not just this, Arnold is a Barrister, Scientist, and Professor of Engineering. The tunnelling expert holds a Science and Law Degree from Monash University, Melbourne.

In the report someone mentioned he was " hogging the limelight". He most certainly wasn't, it was the media that trailed after him ...a very big difference. He comes over as rather a humble person so he deserves better. His knowledge and ability to lead and advise was desperately needed and it seems to me .. readily given.

@@ThousandsThoughts-si4mt well as per our media, the rescue operation was about to get over by Day 5, Day 8, Day 11 and Day 13 etc. The rescuers were always close but something bad happened which delayed the rescue operation. If you promise the workers that they will be rescued in less than a week, they would grow impatient and start losing hope. Atleast Arnold wasn't giving them false hopes and gave a practical timeline to the workers unlike Indian Politicians who over-promise and fail to deliver.

We need this type of people in this world who is praying for the lives of 41 workers who has no blood relation but a pure soul with pure humanity and a big heart. Many Many congratulations to Arnold Dix and the 41 workers who proved that patience and faith in almighty can do good things

No thanks. he did It's arnold stupidity that cost india more time. He brought junk machine that broke down and delayed rescue. It was ndrf, ratminers who chose diff plan, route and rescue technique which got labourers out. Ndrf, ratminers went in and rescued them. Arnold wasn't even in scene for planin or execution, nor went in to pull rescuers out. He instead was depending on miracle and prayers instead of working. He was prayin and sed not possible before dec 26. It was ndrf, ratminers who used their brain and found their way out. This guy is just here for limelight, delay rescue and steal credit of others work
