Does AI really need Data centre?. AI is not storing information but it's an algorithm that process the information not storing information. Except localisation of data I don't see need of Data Centre.
All the Nvidia GPU's need servers and switches (their own hardware) they reside in Data Centers only. Not everyone has AI at this point of time which needs massive computing power. AI will be offered as service, which is already done by AWS, Azure and GCP who offer it via Data Centers which are located everywhere. There are chances Indian companies will build their AI apps in their own on-premises which is called private cloud as they would like to have control on their own data.
This is such a brain dead take. Why would a global company want to store their data in a data centre based on India. Choosing Indian data centres only makes sense for a regional hub e.g. LinkedIn storing Indian customer's data in Indian data centres.
