Well, Sir, if you want a full service flight (free water, beverages, meals, snacks), then book a full service flight or opt a business class in Malindo Air. Low cost carrier (AirAsia, Jetstar, Scoot, etc) and economy class apply a "you get what you pay" system. The total fare for all of your add-ons is still cheaper than if you buy a full service flight. Yes, 1 hour is too short for a transit flight, we need at least 3-4 hours to transfer comfortably, especially if we need to do a self-transfer. Next time you have a transit flight, follow the sign "Flight Transfers" then head to your airline counter. The gate number and terminal won't be shown on your boarding pass from departure terminal because it will be handled by the staff in transit airport, so it's a common thing.

I'm Indonesian living in India. Many Indians that I met here thought Indonesia is much cheaper because of how low is our currency compared to INR. Most of them wanted to go to Bali even though they earn so less here, thinking Bali is cheap. They even argued when I explain that foods and rent alone are more expensive in Indonesia compared to India. Just how Korean won seem cheaper than INR but when u go there, 50k korean won is nothing. Compared to 50k INR that can pay rent in India and feed 4 family members for a month. 50k IDR even worse, it won't even last for a day. Lunch alone is minimum 25k. 😂
I had very bad experience today 9th November 2023 for visa on arrival. I paid 35 usd visa fee and collected the receipt. When i went to immigration counter, i had submitted my passport, boarding pass, visa payment receipt. They asked return ticket and hotel booking. They immigration officer started asking questions about the purpose of visit, how many days, what i am going to visit. I had tell the itinary exactly to him. He asked about my job. Then he asked my company id card. I didnt carry my company id. I had to show my office teams and official outlook in order to prove that i am working for that particular company. Then he asked to show company website. After doing all these, he told me to pay visa fee. I told him i have paid already and kept my visa payment receipt along with my documents. Then he told he didn't receive my payment receipt. I fought with him almost 30 mins. I insisted am not going to pay again. Finally he found my receipt from down. He already checked there many times. But when i insisted he found. Finally my visa stamped. I believe there is some scam going on. So be careful guys.
