Just a tip: when u negotiate, just confirm it from the person nd u knw that he agrees when he says back your price..u can stress on the said price 2 3 times just to be sure
Hi Mac, I was in Lahore recently from 22-29 Nov after a trip to Singapore + KL + Dubai, I have just returned back to the UK yesterday, I can tell you that a driver and decent car for the whole day should cost you no more than 4,500- 5,500 Pak rupees per day + petrol, whilst I was there I paid my driver 35,000 Pak rupees for 5 days which included petrol, so that is the current rate for your information, the taxi driver you stumbled upon at the Wagah border was a bit of a chancer! as I am pretty sure you must of known, as you are quite savvy in this respect, it really upsets me to see people taking advantage of foreigners as this does happen a lot, I suppose in Pakistan some people are facing hardships and needs must in these uncertain times, so maybe the extenuating circumstances should be tolerated, if you need to hire car + driver for the day just let me know and I can provide you the details, but I think you let things play out for real for your viewers to see & learn, good luck with your travels.

Brother this driver didn't know anything about the price of metro train it is cheaper as it is for Pakistani citizens. Next time go with these type of cheap drivers You also pay him more than it is from wagah border to hotel. Government needs to raise awareness on official website for tourists coming here so no one can overcharge them. Have a save journey 😊
