AG of Assam actually exposed his own Govt in Assam by raising the issue of Jignesh Mevani LOL. Arrest of the actor for making comments against Sharad Pawar is also horrible. Arrest of Bagga was not because he made comments against Kejriwal but it was for making hate speech related to Khalistan.

Didn't watch the entire video, or rather, couldn't watch the entire video, I mean how can one. These "judicious" people were comparing the Teesta Setalvad case and the Nupur Sharma case and how the observations impacted but they never mentioned a basic difference, that in Setalvad's case their has been a long trial spanning across decades whereas there's none for Nupur Sharma's case. I mean, it's one thing to say that the comments, remarks, observations and the final judgement given by a court is disagreeable but it's completely different thing that a judge made comments, remarks and observations without any trial. It's outright illegal. It's same as police killing culprits in false encounters. Yes, they are culprits. Yes, it's the duty of the police to provide security for the common people. Yes, police have to do genuine encounters at times, but still, fake encounters are illegal.

It's clear that the judges and those close to them will call everything as unfortunate and state everyone is wrong but to acknowledge that being judgemental by judges when sitting on their chair in the honorable supreme court is considered as a judgement for obvious reasons. It's better to acknowledge this and make amends rather than just continuously taking a high moral stand and hiding behind technicalities.

Hi Mr.Rajdeep, This Justice Ganguly is a well known for his partisan attitude ! He is not critical of ' observations ' of supreme court on Nupur matter but very critical of Ram janma Bhoomi matter. Again he is critical of comments of Supreme Court in the matter of Teesta !! In fact, Dr.Singhvi us more balanced although he is a Congress man . Definitely Supreme Court over acted in the matter of Nupur as rightly Observed by you. I thought you started off with a very correct matter of Nupur, which is agitating the large majority of people of our Country . Points that are bothering us are: 1 Nupur's comment on a channel tantamount to criticising and derogatory ? 2.If yes,What about the comments of the other panelist who made far more derogatory and disgusting comments about another religion - Hindu ? 3.Was it correct in the part if Supreme Court not to hold that panelist for all that happened ? 4.Nuour approached Supreme Court fir merely clubbing the cases and transferring to a court in Delhi in consideration of her personal safety . It was amusing as to why SC didn't give relief to Nupur but further complicated and i creased her personal risk. 5.Finally, you had two on the panel with certain orientation which suggests about your orientation too !

The problems faced by commoner regarding justice at courts due to police booking a case by force due to police power and political power is very well known. An open criminal case is booked under wrong sections on purpose to let loose the case. What is the remedy ? They are not getting corrected is very unfortunate.

This is another example of the classic problem - who came first chicken or egg. Judges, Bureaucrats and RBI governor, officials all have gotten different aspirations now. Earlier these people worked without any expectation of publicity, they always worked in the shadows. But now sab chahte hay dialog marna and hero banna and bask in the publicity - hence the off the cuff remarks. Media also laps up these comments for their own TRP. So you decide who's to blame.

Debates like these are required. We shouldn't forget that hate speech was made and that is the crime, and what the Supreme Court observed does not change the nature of the crime. So do the comments by SC reduce the severity of the crime?

Judges after all are 'Humans' and they definitely possess differences of opinions. And further , humans are not devoid of mistakes, so they might become wrong in dealing with cases... But it is very apparent that police are not applying the law properly.... either they lack adequate training in legal academics or they are acting politically in lieu of favors in the job.... All officers including IPSs and IASs sitting on chair and thinking of themselves as 'GOD', believe that they are not wrong.........And if executive of a democracy doesn't act in conformity with law with pragmatism and humane mode, judiciary will intervene.....and they must......Singhvi Sir correctly mentioned about Audit of Implementation of judgments......This is an open arena where more work is needed.....

It seems this programme is to pressurise the judiciary to go soft on people like Teesta who was supported by congress to pin Modi down with false cases etc. Govt of India should take note of this malacious intent of such programmes and take necessary action. Abhishek Manu Singhvi - far away from Australia I write this in response to Judges’ verbal interaction regarding Nupur Sharma case. Looking back, an Adelaide Judge during 1993 remarked on a sexual assault case lodged by a woman against her husband, that an uncooperative wife is sometimes slapped as a part of foreplay. The husband was absolved of marital rape. The Womens’ Group protested and soon the 60-year old Judge had to resign. So Mr Manu Singhvi and the legal fraternity don’t pontificate uncivilised and unbecoming behaviour of Judges as interaction necessary to establish the case. Both Judges Pardiwala and Suryakant shall resign as their oral observations were political statements and not judicial wisdom. Don’t preach after 30-years how morals should be. When on 14th of August 2021, Taliban took over Afghanistan, many beards were stroked. No one dared to condemn an inhuman form of establishment else “tan se juda” could follow. Shame on you, for you are a Taliban practicing lawyer like many of your ilk nesting the SC.

Biased panel. A discussion is a debate when then there are arguments from both the sides. Bt here all three are on the same side of coin. The SC observations irrespective of being mere oral, are taken taken seriously by citizens. Therefore the judges cannot make unfounded comments. In this case, the judges had already made their mind before hearing the matter. Nupur Sharma was not heard but the judges declared her guilty denying her the process of natural justice. It took judges a decade to declare Kasab, a terrorist　but in case of Nupur, judges gave their oral judgments within a nano second. Thats the issue. Overactivism is overstepping. Moreover, their oral judgement justified the beheadings as reactionary in nature. Bt at the same time, they did not look at what Taslim Rehmani had said which provoked Nupur Sharma. Bt the judges spared Rehmani and castigated Nupur only. Thats problematic.

They are beating round the bush based on some technical points.Medis gives more publicity to observations than judgement. Instead of allowing media to sesationalise observations and later taking shelter under technicalities SC should stop media from publishing observations. Bench can release a brief after deleting unnecessary and uncalled for observations which can be published. You damage first and later say what we have done is not wrong. Accused has sense, sensitivity, honour and right. Judiciary has no right to adversly effect them. The observations made by these judges stirred the conscience of the nation and hurt the common man. Judges may escape under technicalities. But when so many people are hurt it doent do good to judges and judiciary. Control the press or restràin yourself. Don't lement on social media.

Please do not go about suggesting censorship of the media. NO. Citizens have the right know what goes into the proceedings of the Court and how the judgement is arrived at. Else why do we have Live coverage of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha. And RTI. Because citizens have the right to know the process and background of decisions taken FOR THEM as IT AFFECTS THEM. And so for the Judiciary. They cannot say things which they are not willing to stand up for. So either have transparency, or if you do not believe in that, then get out of Public Office.

There must be a delicate balance among the three organs of governance, that is parliament, executive & judiciary! Any overreach by any organ is undesirable!

Unfortunate situation in the country? So per you situation was fortunate till 2014? Who created this unfortunate situation? Who is cribbing about intolerance? people like justice ganguly are the reason that there is no consistency in the judiciary. the law is not a matter of your personal opinion especially as a judge. defending the Mumbai judge who made that ridiculous judgement just shows where he stands.

Alas ! Long long ago India used to have Eminent Judges . Don't justify the unjustifiable and intemperate oral remarks of the two judges in Nupur Sharma case. After showing such a high bias against Nupur Sharma, what choice the Advocate had than to withdraw the petition ?

Singhvi is speaking like a Cong spokesperson in the case of Nupur Sharma . he wud have said the opposite in the case of M. Zubair.. Taklu Singhvi.Justice Ganguly is hesitant to publicly speak against the SC judges just like Singhvi.
