Jeyaram being a Bhramin he made his statements very political. Smartly he not only avoided Periyar but also the Social Justice that exists here in Tamilnadu. Which is the very reason behind highest in economic and social indicators! The education that reached the under privileged people which gave them the strength to come up is economic status. Highest in Health indicator is because of Medical College and the eligibility system we had. Now this RSS rouges borked it with NEET. Tamilnadu not so dependent on Rice as he said. Our delta fed us the best! It’s the Indian government killing it with Cauvery issue . With all new programs the north is literally taking war on Tamils. Don’t know how we going to survive after 10~15 Years from now!

Jairam sir good points.... Being a South Indian I genuinely feel that we do find a thin thought while accepting people. And the north have their own challenges of caste and dirty politics . I even agree with population aspect leading North Indian population to be more powerful in the future. Overall u kept the discussion more genuine , realistic and factual rather then being biased.

Kerala's Human Developrment index is far more than any other states in India. And Kerala Model is apreciable in basic Human things like Education and Health. In Administration kerala has centralised many aspects and decentralised the basic things! Industrialisation of all the sector is not a good economy, kerala have some limitation of density too. All regions may not have the potention of industry only related with the resource available.

According to 2001 census 3.4% Hindi speaking people stay in blore out of those most of them read English. After Kannada and English most read language in Bangalore is Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam not Hindi. With these facts it's clear that Hindi is being imposed in south India

No one in North India know about Annadurai, Kamraj, Chandrababu Naidu and NTR. Just for your info, they are the pioneers of social revolution in South India in their respective states. They are the true leaders that boosted the South India to the position that it is now. South India is gonna face a population crisis in the future and already most of the labourers working in South India are immigrants from North India. North India will provide the work force to the South India and continues to do so empty factories won't do anything. People push the country not the factories.

Let me give you the difference of South and North many North Indian actresses tried to do well in the South but never delivered but the South ones always delivered prime example is Sridevi Tamil conquered regional south came to North did not know the language married a Northern eventually conquered the North Pan Indian voted most popular in 100 Years of cinema. A lesson a Southerner will do what is needed to succeed even learn new languages but a Northerner will go about saying Hindi only.

Coastal China can be found more developed compared to inner regions of tibet and shinjiang .same way southern states along with mh , guj contribute a lot to india . Northern India has agriculture as primary occupation while in south service sector and industries boomed a lot . The first person to bring the mid day meals to school children was Sir Theyagaraya Chetty in Thousand Lights school in the early part of the last century. These people have no background in the history of the southern states. The justice party of the erstwhile Madras Presidency was a trendsetter in advocating social mobility. The Maharajahs of Mysore and Travancore we’re deeply and emotionally connected to their subjects. It is cultural. I have not seen the kind of standard of living seen in the Kingdom of Mysore even in US and other western countries. barring the Nizam of Hyderabad and a few other black sheeps, the Native rulers of southern India were very benevolent. Some of them were even outsiders like the Nawab of Carnatic and the Marattas of Tanjore. The north has a huge cultural and civilization all deficit. The Hindiwallas are not connected to the history of the land as the predominantly speak a Arabo-Turkic-Persian pidgin with a few sprinklings of Indian words interspersed. They are not able to read and comprehend their history and literature unlike the South Indians.

Dave Kautilya ..they talk about first mid-day meal scheme in independent india. If you talk about pre-independence it was there in Chennai too. But it is some selected locations. Kamaraj introduced all over the Tamil nadu state. I myself is the beneficiary of the schemes they did for improving literacy; the meal, egg, uniforms, books and scholarship for my diploma. I literally spent zero rupee for my schools and college. I'm not aware of the schemes in Karnataka though.

In india we import in ur seperate south we have to import it even more since most of minerals and raw material concentration is in central and eastern india . It possibly might be developed but still even it has problems. South is already relatively developed however local statistics on Wikipedia shows south progressive dosnt mean it would become more developed as seperat entity coz each state of India contributes in its own way. Wt actually we need is proper fedralism , decentralized governance and state autonomy in india itself that's it!

When serious issues need to be discussed the the issues will be hijacked by creating some security issue at the border with Pakistan and scaring the whole country. Also when military deals and scams are carried out this strategy works really well. About time Southern politicians and officials take this into account and take equal part in the military as well to exert influence.

so elites in South India are going to West then India. Maybe investment more in South where u get large percentage of tax. And as if elites in North do the same punjab, Gujarat rajasthan all these state elite also send Ppl aboard. Maybe it best u settle in North East were there is more social and gender equality.

Mr Jairam Ramesh hypothesis on the reasons for a developed South are merely superficial. And more superficial is his defence for the state of Northern India 1) "North India has been under attack while South was fairly protected" No invaders stopped at the Vindhyas. It was the lack of social hierarchy that allowed South India to come together to find an existence with invaders. While the North had high levels of social hierarchy leading to the lower social class being sold out to the invaders. In any case when we got independence, the Southern states were faring poorly in all aspects compared to the North. So clearly the invasion didn't leave the South in a advantageous position. 2) "Women have higher standard in South India due to rice cultivation while North had wheat cultivation" This is absurd to any level of common sense !!! 3) "Kerala was able to focus on education because Haryana was providing the rice" Now it seems that Kerala was not paying for the rice. Haryana was cultivating it only for Kerala !!! What a logic

Indian union works best with federal structure but internal migration especially unskilled and uncivilised population from up n Bihar Orissa will definitely destabilise the southern states both economically n culturally. It's like slaves being brought from the north to work in the southern plantations. If really there is a shortage of labourers then mechanicalisation is the solution not slave labourers

Why the many people in AP and Telangana don't understand the situation I don't know but we will suffere a lot if Draavidnadu happened it will turn us slaves of Tamilans first later all of us became the slaves of Chinese . Think with Commonsense there is a city called Hyderabad for the people of Telangana after being seperated from AP but when AP is being separated from Tamilnadu they didn't gave any resources they treated our eld as slaves they continuously humiliated our elders . Open your eyes It's not a Dravida Desam it's Dravida-Nadu named by the people's of Tamil- Nadu which symbolises the era of slavery name Pandya Nadu . The most example is how most of the Tamilans treat us if we spoke in Telugu there .

@@praneshbelli Bro don't make jokes when i got better package of visiting many temples in Tamilnadu me and my family members continuously being insulted by many Tamilans because we spoke in Telugu even they know Telugu the reason we spoke in Telugu because my English is poor and my don't know how to speak English. Not only that these kind of humiliation thing happened to my friends too i know little bit Tamil so I did understood that they insulting us . Our elders said how much struggle they faced after AP seperated from Tamilnadu we didn't think that they treat us same till now but I personally experienced how they treat us even auto driver humiliated me and my friends when we didn't took auto and everyone forced us to take the auto by taking his side.

It's your personal experience if dravida nadu comes only telugu, kannadiga population will be more than how are you saying tamil will dominate and one more think even if you don't speak good English you will be treated badly in hyderabad too. Even tamil guy will be insulted in tamil nadu if he don't no English. Its because of the English structure. In tamil nadu chief ministers are from other states karunanidhi, Mgr, jayalalitha. Can you name a cm at least MLA who is a non telugu. Andhra pradesh separated from madras presidency because of administration convenience madras. Even in border of tamilnadu lot of tamils are living don't speak with a half baked knowledge if you speak like this you will be insulted everywhere

That man is none other than Sir Potti Shree Ramulu sir . You may call it is also his own hunger strike but in my point of view it is a murder and I read how brutal the separation happened . No Hyderabadi insult if you can't speak proper English because Both AP and Telangana children are forced to learn Hindi that's why we have perfect grip on hindi rather than English.

And everywhere in India when you don't no English at working place people are definitely going to mock at I too worked in hyderabad (if one of my colleague is not speaking a proper English the other telugu guy will tease him for his pronunciations.) when separation happened where majority of the population lives the land belongs to them so the separation is fare I feel sry for potti Sri ramulu. The real name is madras later it changed to chennai. Again I am saying in tamil nadu there are lot telugu hero's example vishal reddy, jeeva chowdry, Arya a mallaiyali, rajini kanth, prabhu deva, arjun from karnataka. This could happen in tamilnadu because we believe in diversity. Even the big business people are from kerala, karnataka and andhra. That's the reason tamil nadu is progressive state. There is no any divided politics here
