That print pattern on the carpet of the Delhi airport still gives me deja Vu to this day after many years. That day of my life was taken straight out of a movie. I was in a transition of 14 hours at Delhi airport on my way to Nepal on a month vacation. After getting off at Delhi airport, I had to go upstair to the departure deck and as I was reaching to that floor on an escalator, a very beautiful face slowly started to reveal. And there she was sitting alone on her way home to Germany after graduating from an Indian university and she was on a 12 hour transition herself. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. We locked eyes, she smiled back at me, that gave me a little confidence so I gather some courage to go talk to her and approaching girls for a conversation isn’t my best suit. I had butterflies in my belly. Glad that we hit it right off and next thing I know we spent the next 12 hours in that airport together. I still remember that tight hug I gave her before she boarded on a Turkish airline flight with a sad face saying she didn’t want to go and neither did I wanted to let her go. All the excitement I had to see my family and friends went right out of the window at that point.😅 But we promised to meet in the near future as we departed. And fast forward about a year into that, things started going south, and I solely blame it on me. we don’t talk anymore. I have nothing but best wishes for her in life.
