7% growth rate is not bad, we have to maintain it for a longer period than China, after a period of rapid growth rate there is deflation in the economy which can be seen in China now and in Japan too. So we have to maintain this 7% growth and avoid any measures which can lead to stagflation in future. India is an elephant and will achieve every goal to become an economic superpower. Jai hind
@@adityakawadkar1489India can never grow like China because of many reasons like slave labour, one power centre, no red tape bureaucracy to harass and hamper growth, no environment activists, no human rights, no foreign intervention, data falsification and inflation and repeated development projects that give false economic boom. China's bubble burst will be bigger than that of the USSR. India should focus on its own shortcomings like lack of skilled labour, poor infrastructure, ease of doing business etc. and not chase after a mirage.

China showed growth when the world was growing. But now the world is going through a slowdown, Europe, Western countries are facing the problem of recession, ageing population, so definitely we are in altogether different decades where a lot of things had changed.
Chinese growth rate and gdp figure is a lie. even their senior government officials dont believe it. a part of it is openly false and was annually cooked by provincial officials to get promotions and the other part is due to meaningless infra and housing projects that only created more and more debt. their real decade growth rate would be close to 5 or 6%

Speaking of china's growth, i would say it is easier to reach pinnacle, than to retain it consistently. Looking at macro & micro level of china's economy i feel it is now on slippery ground mainly because 1- its external drbt of 53 trillion viz 3 times gdp. 2- reality sector disaster 3- banking sector crisis 4- fear of deflation.
Every country goes through a boom before coming to a standstill. China has already seen that boom and that too convincingly. I don’t think they will be too concerned about the current slowdown as this was expected. India should focus more on cashing in its growth period. As explained in the video we need to do more and we are far behind what China experience in its golden days.
These reports will come and go. It's our country's citizens and Government who are working hard heading towards in the right direction. Salute to all hardworking Indians. It takes atleast 10 more years to transform India's economy overall. Keep doing great work Indians Jai hind
It is very important to set high goals so that we can work to reach those goals with less concern on falling short. Modi govt has been excellent on framing economic and foreign policy. If Modi had been the PM since 2000 then India would have been at a different level right now.....
At least we have evolved and now look towards a capacity where we aspire to compete with China. This transformation will overall take India and Indians at a very competitive threshold.

China's GDP is 4 times bigger. If China's GDP is 4.5% growth as predicted by Morgan Stanley, it would be 18% (4.5x4) as compared to 6.2% growth in India. That means China:India = 18:6.2. India will never catch up to China unless the growth is above 18%. The gap will be wider and wider.

@@ponnekantipoorneshsairam-ce8xh aree all I'm saying is ki growth in India is service lead till the day, where you need skills. And if you talk about the stats, 26% ppl are in service sector and contributing around 55% of the GDP. So large number of people are not getting the benefits of the growth. And 44% in agriculture and contributing 17% in GDP. So we need to shift people from agriculture to manufacturing, where we can start from consumer goods, like shoes, toys, clothes, footwears etc, here you need much skills, and also we can shift ppl from agriculture to other sectors as well. Thus, less ppl in agriculture will contribute the same as now. Hope now you get my point.

China's 1% growth rate is equal to India's 5% growth rate. In order to catchup to china , India will have to grow 40% annually for atleast 30 years straight, and china's growth should be 0% throughout the period. Which is impossible.

The Indian economy was suffering from "policy paralysis" in 2013. Major reforms were not initiated and the political pressures of the coalition government was taking a toll on the economy. Free trade pacts were signed without boosting domestic capacity resulting in erosion of jobs. Welfarism was the issue that dominated mainstream polity and discussion. After the 2014 elections the government made a policy to prioritise reforms and increase industrial output as well as increasing the FDI and bolstering the confidence of laggard domestic investment. The way of reforms can be debated in the political circles but its intention was well appreciated by the top economists. China on the contrary was increasing its control over the economy resulting in stifling of growth and innovation starving its population of jobs and financial security resulting in less demand in the economy. Its ultra aggressive nationalism alienated its big export destinations like the USA,Europe and India.
I think china’s rapid growth has contributed to downgrade of its labour also. Cheap labor has affected Chinese. I am not sure but I think maintaining pace of growth is more important than higher pace of development.
This is happening with china because now china turning themself into a country where high class product has been made....like usa....they left the cheap thing for countries like India, vietnam,Thailand n manymore...if they succeed than defeating china for india is near to impossible
The vehicle called progress, whose speed depends on time and driver, in which there is always a possibility of improvement, everyone's success story is not the same, and India will have its own.
The acceleration of India w.r.t the world is so high, I see India will surpass all expectations overwhelmingly... Make a note of it... Like the 3rd Term of Modi in Gujrat the 3rd Term of Modi as PM will see major upgrades (other than the already progressing megaprojects such as Railway and Expressways)
According to my calculations India's GDP will overtake China in 2100, however many experts say that China has inflated it's GDP and real figures are 25-35% lower, so India can actually overtake before, maybe around 2075-2080
