As a student at IIT Kanpur, I’ve seen the drive among some of my friends who are passionate about developing India’s own jet engine technology. They’re deeply committed to advancing our country’s aerospace capabilities, and it’s inspiring to think that this generation of engineers could play a vital role in making indigenous jet technology a reality
Boeing has huge order of 351 red hawk t7 fighter trainer aircraft which uses same Ge 404 engine. Additionally korean ta 50 and fa 50 fighter use the same engine and they have received many international orders for aircraft delivery hence there is supply constraints due to sudden increase in demand for this engine in last 5-6 years. India was late to place the order (2021) hence we are behind in queue.
Sir, Jai Hind 🫡🇮🇳 .
India should considered another engine for Tejas through Safran with 100% ToT for Future Program . We need Startups in this dedicated to fighter engine with proper fundings
Main problem is low education budget & low R&D budget ......no one think about this......... why India bagging for technology transfer??? (India- "hamko fighter jet engine ka technology da do😅") Why not Indian government increase research & education budget??? Everyone tell about defence budget increase but no one tell about increase our research and education budget... I think this is right time to think about this ......... Otherwise our next generation will also be begging for some technology transfer or like that.....😢😢😢
It is a shame that India can not produce jet engines domestically. India needs more R&D budgets for engine development. The private sector needs to play a role in the same. GTRE is incapable of doing such development. The government of India has misplaced priorities.
We youths are preparing for civil services and we are saying India should build its own engine. We are the India. We should build, we it means you and me
