When the Odisha govt led by Naveen took hockey under it's wing in a big way , building world class stadiums, sponsoring both teams, getting the world cup 2018 organised in Bhubaneswar , many didn't think it was going to pay off like this. No words .. we are just behind Australia and Belgium , we have beaten almost every other major team except Netherlands in Tokyo. Awesome !

Don't mistake me. But this is the reality. As a hockey fan, I am commenting this with a heavy heart. Despite India winning a medal in this edition of olympics, Indians supporting hockey still remains the same. Broadcasters not properly broadcasting hockey events and people doesn't seem to care about it. Even in youtube any hockey video other than Tokyo 2020 videos still being less viewed. We Indians still care cricket and that's not wrong. But apart from cricket hockey and kabaddi are the sports in which India is in Top 5 in world rankings. If we don't support them now, then when will we?
