Qutub Minar was a Hindu stambh, source Praveen Mohan {Archaeologist}. Aibak was a slave he disfigured the stambh and put the verses of Islam but couldn't remove the bells and flowers made in hindu temples. Also see the hindu structures demolished near minar have same material as the minar.
