It was a $600M wedding. It costed Mukesh Ambani as much as 0.5% of his net worth but it was a damn shrewd business investment for Ambani to build long term global clout.
Being an Indian I can tell that the Ambani family does a lot for India. The wedding itself was not only a celebration but to showcase Indian culture, tradition and also promoting traditional Indian craftsmanship on a global scale. By supporting local artisans and integrating their work into contemporary designs. They have multiple business successes include the purchase of the Mumbai Indians, an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team, through a Reliance subsidiary in 2008. The Mumbai Indians were the only IPL team to grow in brand value in 2020 despite empty stadiums in a pandemic-hit world. These are just a few examples but their family has contributed a lot more. I know there are poor people in India and so they are in USA and so many other countries. Now we can’t expect the Ambani’s to go around every nook and cranny of India to feed and employ everyone. Thanks for the video though I enjoyed watching…..🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Absolutely. I was blown away by the beauty and tradition in the designs, it’s events like these that preserve a people’s culture from generation to generation. I’m glad you enjoyed the video…subscribe 😊
Weddings are a multi billion dollar business in India and employs millions of people. These include the workers, cooks, caterers, chefs, hotels, restaurants, jewellery craftsmen, jewellery designers, couture designers, tailors, embroiderers , flower growers and pickers, flower arrangers, venue decorators, lightening specialists, security personnel , weavers , artisans, photographers, videographers , carpenters, horse breeders and owners, vintage car hirers , bands, singers, dancers, entertainers etc etc. of food distribution. There is sometimes a huge " bhandara" or meals served free to anyone that wants to eat there which could include children and the not so well off . Gifts usually of money and clothing are given to the workers in addition to their wages. Religious clergy are handsomely paid and hospitality offered for conducting of ceremonies and the list can go on and on. Just as one would not shut down businesses so too the Indian wedding business gives employment and income to millions. At the Ambani wedding the fashion designers, craftsmen , jewellers , entertainers s, , chefs and all those that they in turn employ earned handsome profits. So let this business prosper. The government, NGO's and many organisations as well as private donors are generous with both their time, money and effort to tend to the needy . Perhaps you can read up on Government schemes as well as organisations such as CRY that ensure that no one goes hungry or without immediate medical care ( Yes, in India medical care is immediate ). and by the way is it right in the West to own mansions and private jets when so many are homeless ?
Yeah, that large budget certainly went back to the general public, and there will always be different classes of people in every country, I read that he’s a big philanthropist, Bless him 🙌
@@JojoDamap Yes, Lehenga is a long skirt. Sari is a long cloth that can be draped variously. (4.1 to 8.2 metres (4.5 to 9 yards) in length). The part that goes over the shoulder is called a palla. The palla here was made like leaves.
Bollywood actor actreses Hollywood actors actreces business man sports player politician hindu Buddhist Jain saint for blessing everyone is there lots of respect for ambani family who follow our hindu culture
Hmmm...About all the money that they spent , We( most of the folks here ) dont really have any problem with that , their money their choice ...we go by that sentiment . They did feed free meals for one month to the poor and homeless , also funded 50 weddings for the unprivileged ....could they have done more ? Definitely !!!! But we dont need to hate them for that
On point commentary....Ash was indeed not up to the mark and looked dated and frumpy. As for poverty, such weddings generate a TONNE of income for small businesses like catering, flowers, security, transport etc....and this helps millions of livelihoods
True, I believe most families are celebrating now with the extra income, plus we only live once and a wedding is a great opportunity to celebrate with family and friends…else what’s the point of the wealth❤
