I am a drug addict on the streets of Los Angeles but gained some clarity through vedanta in the upanishads and have changed things around and I'm currently on a conquest of community Resurrection and benevolent love. I have so much appreciation for Krishna and everything else that the Vedas teach. The Vedas are so perfectly written that when introduced one cannot discard and it has been my saving Grace. The koi playful and sometimes unintuitive teachings that we learn in the simple stories of day-to-day life of ancient India help me to navigate my world so much that I can tell it is truly a Divine chunk of Truth. That is what your people have done for me now and something tells me that I'm not the only one thank you for helping me understand exactly the route of knowledge that has transpired over time it has been a huge question of mine for my whole life you have an amazing presentation filled with articulate facts and non-biased Observations that corroborated this weird state of gnosis that I received through the spiritual work that I learned how to do thanks to your people. Perhaps it is just like brahma's curse in a macro level but either way I'm glad that the veil has been broken in a scholastically undeniable fashion. Thank you for your efforts within your lifetime. The way I picture myself is to be a perfect hybrid of the western philosophy and indic teachings. As an Australian, I hope many more Indian scholars correct history. I'm 72 years old and I remember thinking the Australian history I was learning at school was rubbish and lies. My hobby is reading history and I have noticed western history has totally ignored eastern history yet there was knowledge exchange between the two. As a 1/2 English and 1/2 Italian living my early years of scool in both nations in the 70's, i noticed how both painted history in their on way. This made me suspicious on what was teached to me. In recent time i have been fascinated by India and its culture and started suspecting that our "west" "civilisation" was not so original nor particularly advanced. I find this Untold Story the most credible on how europe has basically harvested knowledge from India and not only that. Thank You.

When I realized my history lessons in Norway were factual nonsense or at best incomplete many years ago I had no idea about Indian history was also the same as of any scientific subject origin. Bharat. This insight came to me last year. This lecture gave a new perspective of most of my suspective mind about how India and other cultures developed. I am so happy to see more clearly.

The Aryan invasion theory according to the British was that ancient Aryans invaded India at about 1500BC, driven out the Dravidians from their land, have imported the Hindu civilization along with the Sanskrit language from the steppes of central Asia (Kuhn, 1845, Max Muller, 1878, Childe, 1926, Elst, 1999; Trautmann, 2005). The theory was the justification for the British occupation of India. Although there was no archeological evidence to support this theory, it has become the most important doctrine on ancient Indian history. However, some recent archeological discoveries in India, Russia, and Japan have pushed back the antiquity of the Aryans to at least 9000 BC and proved beyond doubt that the ancient Aryans were not nomadic tribes from central Asia but had very advanced urban civilizations. India was possibly the original home of the Aryans. From India, the Aryan language and other languages of Aryan affinity came into existence due to the contact between the migrating Aryans and non-Aryans out of India (Mazumdar, 1917). The Vedic literature was the expression of the highly developed thoughts of the Aryans. If the Aryans had come to India from outside it would be natural to find some traces of their thoughts and literary activities in some of the places through which they had traveled. However, no such record has been discovered at any place. To suggest that the Aryans had attained the highly developed literary and intellectual acumen after coming into India does not justify the absence of any record whatsoever in any of the places through which they had traveled into India. Genetic Evidence for Westward Indo-Aryan expansion Recent DNA evidence shows that Europe experienced a massive population influx from the east, beginning around 4,500 years from the present. Several haplogroups were involved in this expansion, including the Indian-origin R1a1a. This was almost a total replacement event, which indicates that Indo-Aryans, among others, expanded westward into Europe and to a large extent, replaced indigenous European males and their Y-chromosome strata (Sharma and his associates, 2009) This genetic evidence indicates that several Y-chromosomal (patrilineal) lineages, one of which was the Indian-origin R1a1a, gave rise to the modern European population. Out of these lineages, R1a1a is the most widespread and numerous. 1. The R1a haplogroup originated in India. 2. The Indo-Aryan people have lived in India for at least 15,450 years, which invalidates the theory that the Indo-Aryans invaded India 3,500 years ago. 3. The hundreds of millions of members (possibly over a billion) of the R1a family living across the world today - a very large fraction of humanity - are all descended from one single male ancestor who lived in India at least 15,450 years ago. This discovery demonstrates the close genetic (and hence linguistic and cultural) affinity of Indians with the Russian and Polish people, the Vikings and Normans, and with the ancient Scythians and Tocharians, among many others (Sharma et al, 2009). This is irrefutable scientific proof that not only did the Indo-Aryan people originate in India over 15,450 years ago, but also that they expanded out of India and settled in lands far to the west in Europe. It thoroughly invalidates the AIT (Aryan Invasion Theory) and AMT (Aryan Migration Theory). Literary Evidence for Westward Indo-Aryan expansion Consider the Baudhayana Shrauta Sutra, a Vedic text. Baudhayana Shrauta Sutra @ records: “Amavasu migrated westward. His people are Gandhari, Parsu and Aratta.” This refers to a Vedic king called Amavasu, whose people are the Gandhari (Gandhara - Afghanistan), the Parsu (Persians) and the Aratta, who are tentatively identified as living in the vicinity of Mt. Ararat, which is located in Turkey (eastern Anatolia) and Armenia. Afghanistan (Gandhara) was historically part of the Indian civilization until the Islamic invasions. The name “Persia” comes from the ancient Parshva people (an Aryan clan). The word “Parshva” is derived from the Sanskrit/Avestan (Old Persian) word “Parshu”, which means “battle-ax”. There are clear linguistic and cultural similarities between India and Persia. The traditional Armenian name for Mt. Ararat is Masis. It is named after the legendary Armenian king Amasya. The name “Amasya” is linguistically related to the name “Amavasu” of the Indian king recorded in the Baudhayana’s Shrauta-Sutra. This establishes literary evidence for the westward expansion of Indo-Aryans, via Afghanistan, to Persia, Armenia and Anatolia. The ancient kingdom of Mitranni, of the people who used to worship Mitra, the Vedic God, located in present-day Syria and Anatolia, had an Indo-Aryan, Sanskrit-speaking ruling class. Mitranni kings had Indo-Aryan names. The oldest recorded (Vedic) Sanskrit words are found in a horse training manual by a Mitranni horse master named Kikkuli. Although the text is written in the Hittite language, it appears that Kikkuli was not familiar enough with that language to use technical terms, which made it necessary for him to use the terminology of his own language (Vedic Sanskrit) instead. Inscribed clay tablets discovered in Boğazkale, Anatolia (Turkey), record a royal treaty and invoke the Vedic gods Indra, Mitra, Nasatya & Varuna by the Hittites, another Indo-European tribe, as witnesses. The Boğazkale clay tablets are dated to about 1380 BC. This is around the same time as Kikkuli’s horse training manual. The Mitranni and Hittites belonged to the Indian-origin haplogroup R1a1a. This is clear evidence of a large-scale westward expansion of Sanskrit-speaking Indo-Aryans, and their presence as the ruling aristocracy in lands thousands of kilometers west of India. The children of Goddess Danu. The primordial Rig Vedic river goddess Danu is the mother/progenitor of the Danava clan of Indo-Aryans. The Danavas revolted against the Devas and were eventually defeated and got banished. As it turns out, that was far from the end of their story. The word dānu means “fluid, drop” in Rig Vedic Sanskrit. The Avestan (old Iranian) word for “river” is “dānu”. The Scythian (Saka/Shaka) & Sarmatian words for “river” are also “dānu”. Now consider this: linguistically, the names of the European rivers Danube, Dnieper, Dniestr, Don, Donets, Dunajec, Dvina or Daugava, and Dysna are all derived from the Rig Vedic Sanskrit root word “dānu”. These rivers flow across eastern & central Europe. These rivers, all named after the Rig Vedic goddess Danu, seem to trace the gradual westward migration through Europe of the Danava clan of Rig Vedic Indo-Aryans. According to Irish & Celtic mythology, the Irish & Celtic people are descended from a mother goddess - a river goddess - called Danu. The ancient (mythological) people of Ireland are called the Tuatha Dé Danann (Old Irish: “The peoples of the goddess Danu”). Is there genetic evidence to support this story? As it turns out, there is. The R1a1a haplogroup is rare in Ireland, at 2.5% of the population. This can be explained by the fact that Ireland has suffered many invasions since the Bronze Age, which would have led to the gradual replacement of the R1a1a haplogroup with those of the various invaders. The fact that R1a1a is still present in Ireland proves that people of Indo-Aryan origin settled there in the past (Sharma et al, 2009). Elsdon Best (1972) in his book wrote that the ancestors of a tribe Tuhoe in New Zealand came from India via Peru. DNA tests on some of them proved the origin of their ancestors. They said that they traveled from India after the Mahabharata war to New Zealand. Thus, the story of Manu dividing up the world among his sons maybe not a myth. (@ In a report published in Nature, a group of scientists and archeologists of the ASI (Archeological Survey of India) and IIT (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur) proved that the cities of Indus valley were at least 9000 years old, not just 3500 years. The cause of the decline was not any Aryan invasion, but a continuous lack of rainfall since that 9000 years when most rivers dried up. That might have caused the outward migration of the Aryans from India (Sarkar, 2016). Very brilliant presentation by Sri.Raj Vedam, which needs to be included in our Indian School. Over the years, immediately after independence, our middle, high school and college education system was corrupted. This anomaly must be set right, at least now and the pride of India should be made to know to the world at large.

He misses to mention latest Indian discovery, Satyendra Nath Bose’s findings of the state of the matter, Bose-Einstein condensate, published by Albert Einstein crediting the pioneering paper by him (Satyendra Nath Bose) and now it is a new field of science known as quantum statistics.

I don't know much at all about India but over the last few days in my quest to work out the causes of Indias bad name promotion by commonly to from India originated Gypsies in Europe I have learned a lot about amazing India and this guy is a gem in his decency and knowledge he is really a role model for none Indians and real Indians also, I would say. Those Gypsies are a problem but that is a different story and where credit is due, credit is given. One of the greatest presentation in every aspect.

Brillant and very high quality scholar research on Indian archaeology, etymology, scriptures astronomy based dating. Favorited, and i am going to watch it again to study it. I am not Indian but my worldwide interest in archaeology and ancient civilizations has lead me to India. I have studied some general material on India's extended history and I am now getting in the more archaeological side. This lecture is mind boggling and perfect timing. This may surprise but your conclusions do not surprise me, i have been anticipating them. After having studied Sumerian, Persian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Hittite, Mycean, Greek, Phoenician, Etruscan, Chinese, Khmer civilizations all of them flourished in a way that was not organic. There always seem to have been knowledge imported from outside. India was the only major civilization i had not looked at. I had a hunch now confirmed that India is the craddle of all ancient civilizations. As a side comment I wish you had talked about evidences that the Shan east asian (chinese ancestors ?) took all their knowledge from India as well. You dedicated a great amount of effort and persuasion on greeks, maures copying babylonians manuscript from, europeans but said nothing about Chinese. I am sorry if i missed it. I am certain, the ancient chinese copied and learned everything they knew from Hindu civilization to emerge out of primitive life and into a society. Chinese are great copiers, even today.

Wow I should have taking up Ancient History. This video confirms my thoughts about Not only India but also Egypt. Since grade school I didn't buy into the time lines of these two ancient civilizations at all. If they were doing math, and astronomy around 100,000 years ago... they probably have been around at least 300,000 years. I think that the Indigenous tribes of the Americans, Egypt, were also a LOT older than has been reported. The entire continent of the Americas ancient history has been destroyed, hidden, or older digs have been covered. I heard of one in South America was forced to stop the dig and the property was purchased and intentionally covered the dig. Two female archeologists headed the the dig at two different times in our modern history.... Mexico city is built upon ruins. I've no doubt that in the case of the two women the men were probably horrified that these women were heading digs and their egos probably couldn't handle that at the time. But more than likely they wanted it covered to hide a truth about the Americas that they do not want told. After all they have a narrative to bow to. The European stock for the most part has lost most of it's ancient history and now they do not want to admit that it was they who were the uncivilized folks. (I can say this as I'm a mixed breed.) I'm pro truth, and pro all of humanity.

The British had good practice subjugating the Irish for 100s of years before they even knew of India. They tried to destroy them (Irish) as well. To the point of genocide in the 1840s. It's horrifying that that wolf pack of pirates (The British) was unleashed on The Indian Subcontinent. They ruined every place they touched.

During the colonial era history was written and taught from the conquerors' point of view. Immedietly after the colonial era history was written and taught by natives who were the immediate beneficiaries of colonianism.Naturally it was also influenced by the colonial powers. Now is the time to leave behind colonial hangovers and learn our history from our own teachers and be proud of it.

Thank you so much. I have read a little of Rudolph Steiner and already had the notion that India is one of the oldest schools of knowledge. We, deep thinkers in the west, actually don't believe the standard history narrative (that came out of Rome's hierarchical control centre) and more and more we question what is the Truth. Wonderful presentation. I’ve been doing some research also and I’ve found that Ancient Africa and India were very influential to Greece and the West. The study of medicine, science, philosophy etc. One thing I’d like to correct, is that Africans were far from simply and had centuries of advancements, but climate change and natural disaster have damaged. The Sahara is a vast land of unfounded civilizations. Melanin dominant people have always known the true ✊🏿❤️

In England we were taught that the English colonisation of Indian was to the benefit the Indians! No mention at all that it resulted Indian poverty. Our general knowledge of our own history is kept deliberately vague, I suspect because it is so shameful.

sir, i think with your knowledge it will be an easy task for you to rewrite the history books from 5th to 12th classes with the real story Indian culture.If you start this project i am sure some private schools will adopt it into there school curriculum and later the goverment will look into it and standardize it. Brilliant talk by Dr Vedam. Identity is the seat of awakening. As Sadguru says “your ancestors are sitting on your nose” For a long time, I was enamoured with western thinking, ideologies, scientific supremacy, engineering, meritocracy etc. Triggered by some racial micro-aggressions, I was compelled to ask “Who Am I? What is my identity ?” Then, while looking for old televised episodes from India, started watching old “Chanakya” drama. Whenever I watched that beautiful story, gave me a strange sense of calmness, especially while experiencing lives of Gurukul, Acharyas, houses with central courtyard, value system. It felt as if I knew these systems for ages, even though I've never been to any Gurukuls. Has to be my karmic memories. As someone who have extensively worked in science and engineering, closely observing euro-centric capitalism and reading deep literature about its value proposition, it seemed unsustainable. Euro-centrism actually sucked dry their own citizens before looking towards India and China. Sinosphere countries easily succumbed to euro-capitalism (including American one) as the didn't have strong spiritual foundations and are inherently materialistic. But India is no China. So dual forces of GDP-maximalist capitalism and consumerism needs to be unleashed to suck dry india too, only to ensure few elites at the apex rule everyone. Varnashrama was profession-based which later devolved to something based upon inheritance. That system was not pyramidal, although westerners tried to make it look like that. Most importantly, righteous Brahmins (anyone with knowledge of self) were advisors to the society, yet remaining economically independent of the system. That's correct structuring of incentives. The moment you make Acharyas as salaried professionals, objective truth is lost forever. It maps something like this - Brahmins - Yogi / Acharya Kshatriyas - Politicians / Administrators Vaishya- Businessmen / Traders / Farmers / Doctors (ideally should be Brahmins but greed and western education) / Professors (ideally should be Brahmins but greed and western education) Shudras- Office workers / workers / wagies, myself included. Businessmen asking Yogis or Politicians asking Yogis for moral and philosophical guidance is unthinkable now. So its degraded to a state of "Vaishyas & Shudras", with bankers (Vaishya) playing the debt-based economics. India's Sanatan Dharma (and Yoga at its deepest meaning) is the last resistance to euro-centric colonialism (physical at past, intellectual now). And we know that it's not sustainable. There are some efforts around decentralised capitalism and governance using technology, but there are no solid executions. It took me 40 years to reach this conclusion and became awakened. I wish youth of my great nation, remain awakened and connected to their traditional knowledge, identity and culture. Jai Ma Bharati

India was A Golden Bird With Golden Knowledge Shrinivas Ramanujan solved many mathematical equations whivh the western world could not solve with their whole intellectual society and S Ramanujan solved those things coming from a poor background he learned mathematics on his own and he was not great in other subjects this shows his dedication towards maths

Fascinating talk by Dr Raj Vedam on Indian Civilization from prehistoric times. While most of his reference material is from Western texts, there are enough ancient Indian texts which give a fairly credible account of Indian civilization as it existed then. Over the centuries, both Mughal invaders and British colonisers destroyed native Indian civilizational works, including our temples and ancient texts, so that they could peddle their own narratives that it's they who have been the superior race / civilization, and Indians were primitive n had to be 'civilized' by the invaders / colonizers. We know how Thomas Babbington Macaulay ruined India's education system replacing it with English education thru Christian missionaries since 1835 or so. Wo der why no Govt in India since 1947 has cared to reverse this and revert to our rich vedic education system which imparted a more holistic education n knowledge to newer generations, based on ancient Indian texts. Sadly, thanks to India's subservience to the British for over 200 years, Indians remain docile and unable to challenge the impositions by the British. It's shameful that English speaking folks in India command higher respect than those who are proficient in vernacular languages n Indian culture.

An outstanding presentation. Possibly we are the first civilization who studied a wide variety of subjects especially science and maths. Theoretically we may have derived many critical values long back but lost our way. All our present knowledge that we use are western thinking and technology. Our civilization declined at the onset of Kali Yoga. Nothing much can be done to change things. Except in spiritualism and philosophy we are following other countries. We are an amalgam of many cultures perhaps some almost as old as ten thousand years.

The westerners are so arrogant about their knowledge and give our ancestors no credit. I have known some of the points you have discussed but how does a common person convey or try to educate a western person in simple terms. They think we are 3rd world people as they are never taught about indian culture. If we try to tell them about trignometry, pythagorean theorem etc and how this knowledge already existed in India, they laugh at us. Create a simple slideshow or something with solid and simple proofs the we can slap on their face to present the truth. You have given really good information.

I think a lot more of this is widely recognised than he acknowledges, but it certainly opens up a lot of apparently plausible additional possibilities, though I remain doubtful about the Astronomical evidence extrapolating direct experience back up to 24,000 years. I met several citizens of India legally immigrated to the United States. One of them was originally from New Delhi, he mentioned that he spoke Punjab. We were co-workers, I work in the maintenance department he worked in the Warehouse as a clerk. Gil Ragenda Paul, asked me how far did my Mexico history reached in years I said as far as I can recall possibly several thousand years BC. When Gil gave a estimate for India's civilization he said they weren't sure. But he thinks that several precession. He explains that a precession equals around 26,000 years. I believe now seeing this lecture Gil you're close to a fare estimate for the longest civilization none to human history...

I have an idea…. I feel that you and your team needs to do presentations to selected universities outside India, say Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, Russia, Australia. You need to have a media coverage at the same time. This will give you some International exposure. In the UK there is a large number of Indians living, so you can get few contacts and ask them to organise to do public presentations and at the same time try few Universities as well. The TV and social media coverage must be used. You will need funds and a support group, may be Indian businessmen. I remember watching Sashi Taroo’s debate at Oxford, it went viral, that is exactly what you need to do and you need to get the Indians living in other countries to get involved in this. Time is right I feel to stir this world societies a bit, Indian Government will change its attitude to rebuild the image. When the news hit the masses it will not be easy for those who try to discredit you to prove you wrong. 1. Ancient Indians were developing their minds spiritually to seek salvation when the other nations were invading countries for greed. This is where I see the vast difference in the Ancient Indian civilisation and the other.

Thank you! I know that India is a very ancient part of the world and for myself being of MaUri from the great ocean and have our knowledge of the heavens but it comes from outside this solar system, so I am so happy to see records of India refinement of astronomy that Europeans can't deny.

So glad that Indian scholars are taking responsibilities to rewrite the true ancient Indian history through scientific data uses and reseach! Invaders always write the history of the subjugated countries the way the want to justify the conquest and exploration of the conquered territories. But there are always few exception of colonial masters, who discovered and preserved many ancient Indian heritages too.

I, Shri Kulki Surya Madhava, a "westerner", do so extoll the great significance of his ultra erudite and virtual panoptic insight into the true ancient roots of human civilization in India. How such preposterous ideas that the roots of knowledge emanated to India from the western Greco-European culture or later AngloSaxon colonialism is so blatantly ridiculous you have to wonder how such a notion caught roots in the western psyche or for that matter Indian peoples who have payed too little attention to the great antiquity of their consciousness heritage. Dr. Raj tears there egocentric, self-indulgent theft of south Asian intellectual and cultural legacy into shreds and moreover then providing a luminous journey in Truth with masterful distinction among peers!
