I'm learning japanese and doing bachelor's in English Hons in india rn but after completing both the courses I plan to study further in Japan and get myself a job there. What course should i do there and will I be able to get myself a job with course I have right now? And I'll be fine by doing the course either in japanese or english. Another question, do you have to give an exam or what is the procedure to get in the University?

First of all great choice of starting with Japanese. See if you are considering to work in japan your japanese fluency matters. And getting a job is not a matter or question that I can answer. But i can tell you that it completly depends on you. And having a honors in English would get you a job in english teaching field or translation and there are many other options too. But for those posts you will require a TOEFL or TOEIC score. Coming to your other question, doing a course in japanese or english ? well If you are doing your bachelors in English you should consider joing a japanese language course. that will be taught in Japanese. But if you have a course that you wish to pussure or university you wsish to apply for then the requirements vary with universities and you can check that on the university s website

Few universities like Kogakuin University Nagaoka University of Technology offer courses of chemical engineering. You can search others on Google as well as you will be able to search for courses you want to get into.

Not all universities have automobile engineering but if they do yes you can apply. Please take care of these points 1. In many universities including mine it is call automotive sciences rather than automotive engineering 2. They are not usually listed under Graduate school of engineering but are listed under graduate school of frontier sciences

Dude I got some questions , I guess you'll solve my doubts!!! 1)my school grades were fucked up, so it will affect my selection?? 2:- when I've to apply for the institute? In the end of final year or after my BTech? 3:- which exams are necessary for MS like IELTS? Gre? N2/1?

1. Yes it will, every school has there own criteria of selection. On top of that the immigration also takes a look at your scores. And it will affect your selection. You need to have atleast 65% that is basic requirement everywhere 2. you need to apply 8 to 6 months before for masters in good universities. 3 to 4 months before in language schools. To be on a safer side you need to apply and send your documents atleast 5 months before. That being said you should apply in the final year. Till then learn Japanese. Because your Japanese can cover up your grades 3. IELTS or TOEFL or TOEIC for english and JLPT or NAT for japanese but every uni or school has their own requirement.

@@RSPinJAPAN I haven't seen any university website mentioning 65 percent as a strict criteria is it sepcifically applicable when your doing masters in japanese language? Moreover can't the students overcome this with high gre/gmat scores? Then there is an entrance exams isn't that is much important and finally interview conducted by professors which eventually determines whether you get to do masters or not ? (I might be wrong correct me if needed). For getting mext schloarship one need minimum 65 percent this is the only area where percentage is specifically mentioned.

I don't have much idea about this field but on google I found Tohoku University to offer Communications Engineering , I don't know whether it's same as Telecommunication but you can check it here: www.eng.tohoku.ac.jp/english/academics/studies/graduate/communication.html Few more universities may offer the same course if it's communication engineering.

You can directly visit the university in which you are interested in and approach the professors of the field in which you are interested in.

@@ABCD-gh9im Approach the professors with a research proposal, if they like your proposal then you'll get a revert but you need to have Japanese language proficiency. But still you can try approaching the professors...

Will your MS carry that much credibility compared to a English one when you go outside of Japan since you did it in Japanese language? Because I have heard this from many people that Japanese degrees do not carry that much credibility outside of Japan if they're done in Japanese. Correct me if I am wrong please...

I am not sure about that. But in Engineering what matters the most is the research, research thesis. and research papers. All my research papers are in English. So yes for person who did masters in Japan in English the credibility would be less because of the obvious reasons. But if you do the masters in Japanese. Then it is a completely different story. Also the university Ranking matters too right. And mine is pretty good so Yes you might have an issue with the credibility but in my case im on a safer side.
