I am amazed at Aryabhatta's achievements. Amish Tripathi rightly says that we are unworthy descendents of our great ancestors. This must be taught in our schools! Aryabhata (476-550 CE) , first major mathematician , astronomer of classic India , use vedic Sanskrit . Aryabhata used alphabets and not numbers When he was just 23 years old he wrote his first "Magnum Opus" ( Best Creation of a Man ) Aryabhatiya and Aryasidhan in 499 CE . Aryabhatiya is a Sanskrit mathematical astrological treaty in his Magnum Opus . It contains 4 Sections 1- Gitikpada- 13 Shloks , Give large unit of time , Table of Sin. 2- Ganitapada- 33 Shloks , Mensuration , AP & GP and Equations 3- Kalkriyapada- 25 Shloks , Determining the position of planet and 7 Days week 4- Golpada- 50 Shloks , Detail Geometry and Trigonometry. -Aryabhata also gives the value of pie in "Ganditapada 3" -The Remainder Theorem -The Area of a Triangle in "Ganditapada 6 " - Motion of the stars due to the earth's rotation

99% indians think sanskrit is not useful . we should put more work to make it our national language , this language is taught in many west university

Dear Sandeep Ji, stumbled upon your lectures recently and am truly amazed by the depth, clarity and presentation. Wish that this may be translated into English not by way of subtitles but by actual speech translation. This is the only way we may be able to get our children to listen to what you are saying. There are so many children of our extended families who would only listen to something if it were in English. This is a sorry truth but something that we have to accept if we are to get our children to embrace our glorious past. Engaging our children is the only way we can leave our past alive and breathing in the present and also for the future. This is the second lecture of yours that I have heard after the lecture on Kautilya and I am looking forward to listening to all your lectures.

Dear Sir, Namaste, I would like to congratulate you for this very educative session. I agree that we have been overloaded with information from Western Culture. However it is important that we know what our ancestors have writen, found and have given us as a gift. I feel the biggest respect to our history would be revive the Universities - Nalanda and Takshashila. I agree tobyour points - Lot of studies needs to be done on our scriptures and the knowledge should be made available in schools and colleges for us and our children. The history needs to be corrected.

Aryabhata (476 - 576 CE) was a mathematician and astrologer of classical India. He wrote his opus magnum in 499 CE when he was only 23 years old. He used sanskrit instead of numerals and a whole system of numbers was depicted in the form of words including zero. His marvelous work in maths and number system is somewhat lost in history. But to quote some of his work he gave value of "pie", "area of circle" and "mensuration" and "ap gp system". He also described our solar system and movement of stars. " This is my first ever summary written on such a ginormous topic so please forgive me for my bad observation and any good advise is welcome :) "
