Indian Lake SPILLWAY and CREEK fishing (Ohio)

I have never really fished the discharge of Indian Lake before. So on this adventure, I walk the banks of the creek that leads into the Great Miami River. I had an awesome time and most of my action came on live minnows under slip bobbers! Enjoy the action and hit that like button if you enjoyed the video! Catching a bunch of different species can really mix things up!! Indian Lake is located in the central part of Ohio and has an amazing fishery holding trophies to include saugeye, crappie, carp, and catfish.

@@thecreekcrawler yep. walk one way and fish the river, the other way fish the wall by the spillway. i've been catching saugeyes on the wall. 22 is my biggest. biggest white bass was 18. i moved here last year and i'm use to fish CJ ,Caesars and the river down town Dayton to the Burg. i'm still trying to figure out this "mud puddle" i subbed to your channel so let me know the next time you're here. i primarily fish jigs and jerk baits for eyes.

@@thecreekcrawler the covid 19 is almost a blessing up here. all the fishing tournaments are cancelled. less fishing pressure. this is going to be a year to fish Indian Lake.

No bro you aren’t! Somehow my camera has been fast forwarding sometimes randomly. Did it on 4 or 5 big fish the last 2 weeks. Makes my footage useless. I feel your pain

I usually catch and release but on occasion I’ll give my fish to people if they want them.

@@thecreekcrawler so Brian, set the minnow trap and took several to the spillway yesterday. After watching your vid, I knew we were gonna have some table fare. Was there from 5pm to 8pm, using the same set up and in the same place as you...our usual luck..came home empty handed 😞lol. Tried a few other places with no bites. You are the fish king, man.

Not a favorite to eat (even bader dipped) but keep them cold (directly on ice) to keep the flesh firm & remove as much dark meat from the lateral line.

it's all about helping one another! If someone wants a fish I catch I usually have no problems handing it over. A healthy harvest is good for the populations of game fish
