Yeey, finally a rapper reacting to this song! Metalheads already know how amazing this is, making a song of such a niche subgenre, on such an uncommon topic for a metal song, releasing it independently and still making the numbers these guys made.
@robcampion9917
@robcampion9917 4 месяца назад
There are a few good band that do similar with their cultural/folk music like The Hu for Mongolia and Alien Weaponry for New Zealand/Maori.

@@robcampion9917 Yup, folk metal is an endless well of great music. A group called Otyken is great as well, even though they're not metal. They mix Siberian folk music with modern pop music.

Awesome reaction! Definitely check out the whole album. These guys are so talented and genuinely good human beings. They're working on their 2nd album now!

These guys are incredible. They're completely self owned and managed, no label affiliations. The founding guys started playing covers and suddenly went viral in a huge way. Then they wrote their first originals, recruited half of the band members, played as a band for the first time, played their first ever live gig, did a European tour, and performed at Wacken Open Air, all in just over 12 months! There is a fantastic documentary about this on YT called Raj Against The Machine

The language they sing in is 'Hindi', the most widely spoken language in India, especially the Northern and Central states. There is no language called Indian. "De dana dan" in Hindi would literally translate to give(de), non-stop and at a maddening pace (dana dan). So, yeah, beatdown is pretty apt.
@NavsangeetSingh
@NavsangeetSingh Месяц назад
To be precise, apparently it's a polycentric language called Hindustani. Hindi and Urdu are essentially two flavours of it. I only recently discovered this fact.

Ari Ari was their first song I came across and I loved how different it was! They seem like top guys too. Raoul’s rapping is something else!

@sanskaryadav923 Месяц назад
"de dana dan" can be called as a double entendre it has an actual meaning which is bring the beatdown but he said "Grab em by their neck and de dana dan" so that means grab em by their neck and beat them non stop

welcome to the world of folk metal. We have everything from Mongolian throat singing to Aztec death whistle you can headbang to Here's my list of folk metal bands that spans all inhabited continents Diablo Huma- Equador Hiddenland- Equador Cemican- Mexico MiracleOfSound-Ireland (look up his songs Sirona, Grainn Mahoil and Tale of Cu Chullain) Alestorm- Scotland (it's pirate metal but some people count it?) Tyr- Faroe Islands Percival- Poland/ Pan slavic Arkona-Russia Drygva- Belarus Rune-Serbia Mägo de Oz-Spain Po' Metra Crijeva- Croatia (the band name means half a meter of guts) Manntra-Croatia Brkovi- Croatia (more of a punk band but look up their song "Ovce" a MAGICAL blend of rap,metal a, punk and folk influences) Metaklapa- Croatia (This one is weird ... they do covers of metal songs in traditional Dalmatian singing style .. for example they did Aces high) Dubioza Kolektiv- Bosnia & Hertzegovina (DO NOTE! This band is called a band with no genre for a reason! they varry from Regge R&B To Folk-Metal-Punk ... compare their "Space song" and "No escape from Balkans") Arka'n Asrafokor- TOGO (also worth of note is Skinflint from Botswana but they don't ussualy have much folk elements) Al-Namrood- Saudi Arabia (They played metal when it was punishable by death... IT DON'T GET MORE HARDCORE THAN THAT!) Hassak- Kazakhstan (it's an ethno band but listen to their song Amanat and tell me it don't belong on a metal concert) The Hu- Mongolia Uuhai- Mongolia Nine Treasures - China/Inner Mongolia DreamSpirit- China Wagakki band- Japan Nini music- Taiwan BLOODYWOOD- India Alien weaponry- New Zealand Shepherds Reign- New Zealand/Samoa

Enjoyed your reaction! Extra tidbits: the lady painted blue represents Goddess Kali. She is the destroyer of evil & protector of innocents. The line, "now we're here, we're thugging it", references Thuggees, some old time followers of Kali. You really should check out the whole album. It's just over 45 minutes long & every single song is epic quality like this one, although Dana Dan is the hardest. I think you'd enjoy Gaddaar next, for a single song reaction.

I love Bloodywood. They took nu-metal and added Indian instruments and rhythms and the end result is wonderful. They have some very powerful messages in their music. Check out "Gaddaar", a song about corruption in Indian government.

Indian ain't a language. India has like ... a whole cosmos of languages

India's 2 main official languages are Hindi and English, however, most all of its 28 states have an own regional language in which public life, forms, law, media etc function. Those languages are not intelligible between each other and most have their own alphabets. They do share a lot of Sanskrit-based vocabulary which is why most Indians will understand at least a few words in other languages. (Just like certain Latin-based words are spread across most European languages no matter if the language itself is Romance, Germanic, Slavik or Nors.) On top of that you have four major language groups/families in India: 1. Indo-Aryan languages, 2. Dravidian languages, 3. Sino-Tibetan languages, and 4. Mon-Khmer. Those language families have completely different roots and thus dramatically different grammar structures. That's not dialects, that's actually fundamentally different language family trees, and the languages between those trees differ between each other about as much as say Spanish vs. German vs. Turkish vs. Polish (just as a random example). And again within those families you have multiple languages that are not immediately intelligible between each other albeit people tend to have an easier time learning another Indian language that is within their own language's broader language family. For Indo-Aryan languages examples are Hindi, Bengali, Punjabi, Gujarati, and Marathi (just to name a few), for Dravidian it's eg Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam; for Sino-Tibetan it's Meitei and Bodo. And within each of those languages, yes, there are on top of that plenty of local dialects. The constitution recognizes all in all 22 official languages, however, there are about 121 separate languages that are spoken by more than 10000 speakers each, if you include all the known dialects it'll come up to about 19500, at least according to a census from 2018. The ground reality might still be more confusing than that.

I FULLY support and encourage the message of this song as I myself have done what this song espouses. NO REMORSE, NO REGRET, NO MERCY!!!!!! Side note... The women are doing the Goddess Kali's (represented by the one painted blue) dance of death. Yes, they are invoking Kali. As they should.

Someone said in your chat "lol never understood the purpose of music like this .... workout music I guess".... TF.. for real?? 😮‍💨.... did you not pay attention to the lyrics.... its this thing, called emotion... which you know.. every human has.... and this topic is very sensitive.... which you did not pay attention too (OBVIOUSLY).... if I caught somebody rap*ng or doing naughty things, to somebody I care about, or even somebody I don't know.... this would be my natural instinct reaction as man... BRING THE BEAT DOWN!!! If you can't understand that, why you following this dude or even saying anything in the first place??
