Look india is our biggest neighbor last 50 years india didn't act like a good neighbor, pls dont take my words for it pls do your research. 1972 Farakka was opened for testing few days which by now made Bangladesh a desert. We pay Adani 400 core per month regardless we use the electricity, only Taka 40 tariff per ton for tansit thru BD, we are 4th largest remittence, 3rd largest trade partner, #1 in tourism yet india supports Tyrants to advance their agenda who rubberstaps india's wishes. Few years back to balance trade we requested a list of 1600 items and only 6 was approved. Our boarders are more dangerous than Gaza/Israeli boarder, During covid we paid advance for vaccines but that wasn't delivered. We can list 1000 more such example. In 1971 india also gained by defusing tension from it's east. It is in our both interest to keep good relationships but India is just taking. If India think they don't need Bangladesh, we will be happy if you shut down all trades and seal the boarder. Our minorities our brothers and we will protect them with out lives, yes during tension some ppl try to play race card but its under control. We dont talk about gross minority treatments that takes place within india. In order to become super power once's heart needs to be like one, I think indians better focus on it's public health issues so we don't have to see ppl pooping by train tracks.

It's true that currently anarchy is ongoing in Bangladesh. It's mostly because the police force are on strike , because people are attacking police and police station due to their complicity in student mass murder! Can you imagine police oper firing on students and killing in hundrades ?? The current anarchy is not only causing attacks looting robbery on minority rather everyone. It's not a minority problem. Specially those were complicit with the previous fascist murderous regime are getting attacks and even killing.

Do not forget that Mujibur Rahman changed constitution of Bangladesh and established a uni party political system in Bangladesh and declared himself president of Bangladesh forever. He banned all opposition parties and bar them to evolve any political activity.

It is surprising that no one guest in your published video is a Bengali speaking person who better knows the sentiments of another Bengali speaking country. Remember the way we lost our good relation with Nepal is also repeating to some extent here in the case of Bangladesh. Mainly aggressive Hindutva ideology in India not only gave weapons in the hand of anti Indian Jamat e Islami and BNP but also put the Hindu community of Bangladesh in danger. Even the intellectuals of Bangladesh who are generally in favour of good relations with India become either silent or start speaking against India. Another important issue that plays an important role in making them speak against our country is the idiotic statements by some, mainly Hindi speaking Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi and some journalists who do not understand the sentiments of Bangladeshi people. Very often they, for simple political gain , uttered that "Indira Gandhi divided Pakistan" and thus came the existence of Bangladesh. Intellectuals and common people of Bangladesh interpret that kind of statements as insult to their martyrs and "Mukti Yoddha ( Bangladesh liberation force)" who fought against Pakistan. Indira Gandhi and great Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw never made such a statement. Rather they always acknowledged the fight of common people of Bangladesh who courageously fought against Pakistani Army. So, our leaders, journalists and experts also didn't play the role that they should.

Mr Tharoor has very correctly mentioned what the Indian media, perhaps, deliberately are refusing to present. The reality is, some incidents of violence on Hindu temples did happen in few districts, but that is not the picture of the whole country. Hindus are very much safe and nothing untoward happened in big cities like Dhaka. Just today I visited Shankhari Bazar and Tanti Bazar areas of Dhaka, which have large Hindu population and was glad to see everything fine there. The temples were fully functioning with bells tolling and Aarti going on. True, Hindus are a bit worried and exercising caution, but thankfully they are safe. It is also true that students are volunteering as guards of few other temples in Dhaka.
