we don't put ginger and garlic in sambar, our sambar is less complicated just boil the dal then add veggies, sambar powder cook for 1 whistle, now add tamarind pulp salt and coriander leaves and boil for 3 mins , temper with mustard, jeera and methi seeds must and curry leaves and hing close the lid after tempering to lock flavour

Hello kiranji!! Since you asked how the making of sambar is will tell you that there is no need to add coriander powder extra. It is all there in sambar powder. You can try mtr sambar powder. Add hing to the tempering for sambar. You can add quarter spoon of fenugreek seeds while soaking dals for dosa. This helps in fermenting of the batter along with poha.rest everything is fine with your preparation.

South india me rahti hun sambhar yahan par moong daal ka b banta hai Aur sambhar mei jada sabji nahi dalti aur sabji ko acchey sei paka lete hai matlab sambhar mei na sabji na daal ka pta chalta hai....ekdam patla....aur dosa roti se b mota hota hota hai ....thick....

Apreciate your enthusiasm and you are role model for us. In kerala we do not use jeera in tadka of most of curries especially sambar. No ginger too. Avoid paste of green chilli insted add slited whole. Originally the entire process is ulta 😊 boil dal, add veggies, then tamarind and then sambar masala and finally tadka of rye redchilly and curry leaf. Pinch of hing gives fragrance though hing already there in sambar powder 👍🏻my mom adds 3..4 methi dana in tadka too.

From what I know and follow no ginger garlic paste , no dhania powder nor jeera. At the last again you can give tadka with oil mustard and curry leaves and red chiiles - from Karnataka

Inspite of North Indian you prepared nice dosa, sambar In Karnataka most of the people will prepare alu palya, copra chutney (only green chill and onion,alu)for palya Chutney (Chopra, fried chilli,garlic, ginger,fried gram coriander, curry leaves,salt , jaggery) For dose we add oil and butter also You try this also sometimes

sambhar looks tempting and it's different way that you prepared...Our south Indian sambhar...we don't use ginger garlic paste or Dania powder ... first pressurecook the toordal and veggies(3whistles) together after that boil dal n veggies by adding 4 tbspoon sambar powder u can use MTR sambhar powder with tamarind juice and little jaggery Once it's boil for 8mins then give mustard,curry leaves and hing tadka..it's done..v usually have with idli..it tastes yumm...

Boil thor dhal with 1 spoon moong dhal. Boil veggies separately. Try Grinding coconut with sambhar powder and one tomato.and add to boiled veggies and dhal. Add imli, little half spoon jaggery powder.add, diluted hing very little. Mix and stir. Add thadka dear. Mast erutte...😃 erutte is kannada word

Try to make your sambar powder at home .At soaking time of urad and rice add 1or 2 tea spoon of methi dana and cooked rice or avlakki u can able to make soft idlis. For idlis batter temperature should be normal don't make directly from the fridge batter😋

We don't eat sambar with dosa. We eat dosa with chutney.. Please try ginger chutney with tadka.. Just grated coconut ginger small pc green chilly as per the requirement and small imli and grind it.. For tadka.. Raee nd curry leaves and pinch of hing..

Once the sambar starts to boil then add fried lady's finger and corriander leaves it tastes very good and curry leaves also but don't add garlic .dosa looks good

Hi, i see your videos regularly and really love the possitive vibes and thought which you share. Time Management is also so helpful. Please try make your sambar without ginger and garlic. Sambar should never garlic. The tadka which you put in the end - you should add rai/curry leave/ red chilly and hing.. Dont put onion in the tadka for sambar.

Aap sambar me gingér garlic green chilli mat dala karo aur last vala tadka onion vala bhi nahi tadka mustard seeds hing kurri patta leaves degi mirch dalkar usme thod sa sambar alag bowl me 3spoon Everest sambar masala dal kar mix kare aur tadke me add kare 1 -2 minutes bhunkar is tadke ko sam bar me add kare with tamarind sauce

There are loads of ways of making sambar..generally ginger n garlic is not added..we add a coconut based masala instead of sambar powder (if one is in a hurry sambar powder works too) I can relate to your son..I'm exactly like that😀..there's nothing right or wrong about it, but introverts are always made to feel that they're lacking in something 😔

Ginger garlic paste nahin dalta hai sambhar mein . Har ek region ka alag sambhar banta hai . Palghat side mein masale pees kar daalte hain aur Chennai side mei sambhar powder dala jaata hai . Hum log Tamil Brahmins hain toh isliye kaafi had tak Sambhar masala ko roast karke mixer grinder mein paste banakar hi daaltein hain. Yeh Ghar ghar ka swaad hai aur mujhe pata hai ki being a Punjabi you can excel in any variety of cooking be it South Indian or Any other region .

You need to put only garlic and should not add ginger for Sambar..for tadka add curry leaves and need to add coriander leaves too.. Nice vlog.. We have learnt a lot from u 😍

Hi mam. Good to see you, you make dosa and Samabhar. But mam you boil along with dal and veggies together. And we do not put ginger and garlic in sambhar. When you put tadaka use coconut oil. And lots of kadi patta. Rest are you're doing good. Achha laga video dekh ke🥰😍

Jasmine kitne fast baat karthi hain hame kuch kuch samajhy nahi aata .but aap.doni ki baate sun kar hum has lete hain and for sambar. Boil the daal with tomatoes and haldi powder then mash the daal with tomatoes.by doing this the sambar will be little liquidy not loaded with more vegetables for veggies you take potatoes,carrots,beans,drumstick and mooli ,je raddish is the must mooli adds a nice flavour in sambar and the cut the veggies in round slices .then taadka lagaye tadka me oil,mustard ,jeera,curry leavesand veggie sliced after frying for some time put the mashed daal sambar powder.salt and tamarind pulp after cooking to a slightly thick consistency put dhanya patta and serve you can take all thevegetables only oneonecarrot one potato some six to seven beans like that not too many vegetables in sambar . dint boil the veggies only fry them for some time and let the veggies cook in sambar and boil the sambar till the veggiesbare cooked thin slices will cook easily and sambar should be boiled nicely for a good taste .
