Today 21st Century and FL Trailblazer met up to paddle across Lake Jesup to an Indian mound in a remote spot that is accessible by boat. After 5+ nautical miles on open water and a strong headwind we managed to arrive. the location was covered in this undergrouth and old citrus trees. We discovered a ton of pottery shards. Some amazing artifacts in excellent condition. I had some technical difficulties the filming process. Some of the footage was damaged due to catastrophic sound failure. However most was recoverable and was able to cobble together an adventure for you all.

lol yeah there is a lot of irrational fear towards alligators. Most of the time they do not want anything to do with the activities of humans. Especially in groups. Thank you for watching, very much appreciated.

It looked like y'all let those pottery pieces stay right where they were... I think that is super cool!!!! Been there for hundreds of years... best to let them stay there in my opinion.
@JungleJayAdventures
@JungleJayAdventures 5 лет назад
Yesser, that they do, and there they will stay if everyone followed the rules. It is against the law to dig or remover artifacts from any of the mounds nationwide. We leave them where we find them.

Thumbs up on your video Jungle Jay! i didn't notice the sound problem.
@JungleJayAdventures
@JungleJayAdventures 5 лет назад
Thats because i put music over top of the area around the mound and utilized only imagery. The rest of the mound discovery was scrapped.

I want to see someone pull one of those oranges,with no break in the filming and eat it! Right there! If they're growing out there wild you can't eat them. I grew up in Fla. and my Dad and Grandfather pulled that on me once. While they were cutting swamp cabbage (Palm hearts) they had me collecting worthless oranges. BTW Swamp cabbage is or was illegal,it's an old time Floridian food and really is the heart of a cabbage palm.
@JungleJayAdventures
@JungleJayAdventures 3 года назад
I have found sweet orange trees in the past. Rare though. Most of the time they are just too sour. Turn your mouth inside out.
@seadog915
@seadog915 3 года назад
@@JungleJayAdventures You probably found sweet ones closer to the middle of the state.In the 60s most of them were north of Lake Okeechobee, but there were old remnants of ones just outside of Miami that were from the 20s. Thats what I meant though, if you ate a whole one of those it would make you sick!
@JungleJayAdventures
@JungleJayAdventures 3 года назад
Yeah I cant get past the first bite, cuts into your tooth enamel and would cause massive stomach pain from the acid. In a very early video I found a tree that had tiny oranges, Tangerines i find are generally sweet but this one tree had the most sour citrus I have ever tried. They were only about the size of a golf ball. But packed a huge pucker punch lol!
