I speak Bengali from Bangladesh and somewhere I heard the indian national anthem written in Bengali by Tagor and I came to check it out but didn't understand anything, many words sound like bengali but didn't understand most of them. Sometimes when night time I was go for sleeping that time just closed my room light and put headphone in my ear and close my eyes listening this anthem. They called "sinha" peolpes . "sri Lanka" is itself a sanskrit name. They established " sinhala " kingdom here."Sinhala" language belongs to indo- aryan" language family. Our genetic pattern also very similar to north indians , specially to "vanga" (bengali) peolpes .Some of us has "Bombay O "blood group.our national anthem also has strong sanskrit and pali base.

@@purindrabhakat3566 yes but the words are all Sanskrit origin words, almost 90% of all Bengali words are directly from Sanskrit, so these words can be called Sanskrit words too, but the song cannot be called entirely a Sanskrit song, because of intermittent Bengali words and Bengali grammar in it.
