Hello sir, good evening, Does positive secularism is apt for India depending on the current scenario? The current situation put me in a situation where i feel negative secularism is good. What's your opinion sir?
Indian democracy is not matured yet. We are a multicultural country with people following many religions. So positive secularism is not bad per se But it has been misused for votebank politics. In future, we can move to negative secularism/strict secularism
India's model of Socialism is Democratic socialism- mix of capitalist as well as Socialist features. As I told, the word 'Socialist' in the Constitution has a larger meaning- Apart from the Economic dimension, it has a social dimension also. The state should try to ensure welfare and bring equality among all sections of population.

The functionality of the word has to be understood properly. It refers to someone who has "authority/power" to work, govern or administer . Here, authority is NOT arbitrary or authoritarian. Its not a Feudal authority. Its derived from democracy in a legitimate manner The authority itself has checks and balances.
