You can totally tell when an Indian ringneck is from a good breeder, the ones you get in pet stores always seem to retain some wildness to them, but a good breeder really seems to bring out the sweetness in these birds. I'm getting mine next month from a private breeder and I'm watching Milo is tide me over 😂, I'm so excited! And he's such a sweet boy, idk how anyone couldn't binge watch all of these videos lol.

Very true! it makes a world of a difference,. although it’s not to say, you still won’t have to put in lots of work. they are generally tougher to tame, but consistency and socialization will do the trick.

I used to talk to him all the time and he got lots of time outside the cage. besides talking your first priority should be binding with the bird

He gets plenty..in moderation. If I gave him a treat every 5min he says the word. He’d be a very unhealthy bird, and I want him to live a long long time.

I 100% agree. All the well socialized ringnecks you see on Instagram and RU-vid, that allow their owners to kiss and pet them. people don’t see the endless hrs we put into their care. I pretty much have a minimal social life due to them and that was my choice. just 2 hrs out of the cage is not an option. I give my bird 5-6 hrs outside the cage. their trust is not easily given, so it’s a lot of work and consistent reinforcement
