I never believe a Chinese man can travel to India so easily, so safe, can wander around anywhere and so welcome by Indians and without facing discrimination and racism like Indians traveling in China without any worry. Even if they don't speak Chinese language. I have been to New Delhi Pragati Maidan Exhibition Center for exhibition many times before and I know what is like for Chinese to travel to India even I can speak English reasonably.

I have personally encountered many bad experiences when I attended many exhibition events in New Delhi Pragati Maidan Exhibition Center. I just wanted to let your people know that we common people are not politicians and we should respect each other who come to visit us in our country. Just like you. If you hate China and Chinese, why will you bother to come to China? So we Chinese should appreciate you visiting our country and we should see you and treat you as guest and offer any help if you needed. Not against you, discriminate you or hate you. Hope you have great time in China and tell your people we Chinese don't treat and see Indian as enemy. We are neighbor.
I also would like to traveling to India, but I am very scared of that local Indians would insult me or racist attack me due to ther radical political views, I would like to tell Indians that most people just are ordinary people not politicians, we don't need to live and carry political hatred towards ordinary people who are just traveling to your country, calm down and most tourists just wanna know more about your country, isn't it good that we know each other better? Isn't better to make one more friend instead of making an enemy? So Indian people please calm down, and leave complicated politics alone when dealing with ordinary tourist. But I don't think Indian authorities will give visa to Chinese now as I heard that a lot of ppl applied for Indian travel visa but all were rejected by the Indian authorities.
China and India OR Chinese and Indian. Both are Asian with more than 5,000 years of civilization and history. Why can't India be the same like China? If India cannot catchup with China in nation developments that is OK, they can take their time and maybe even better with soon and steady. But the people mindset and mentality. This can change. Chinese are far more civilized in social behavior, social responsibility, disciplined, very friendly and honest to foreigners visiting China as the Chinese know they are guests. But India, I remember the first time when I arrived at the airport from the immigration officers stamping my passport and the custom officers checking my baggage I was treated like criminal. Maybe because my skin is not white and I am not Caucasian. Then those touting people shouting sir! sir! cheap shopping and they can follow you for a long distance and they are very irritating. 3 wheelers trishaw riders they are the same. Really I don't see such thing in China. China you can walk and wander anywhere and no one bother you. You are free to enjoy your holiday.

Not really. You can't blame all of Indias problems on west or colonialism. West didn't force indians to keep caste system going even if it's banned by law, or to be sexist against their own women etc etc

The appetizer they were suggesting at the restaurant was vegetarian. The 4 happiness with kao fu. Kao fu doesn't have a good translation but it's like a gluten roti. Other ingredients are peanuts, bamboo shoots, lilies and black fungus. Very famous dish from Shanghai. Try looking for buddhist restaurants in China because those are all vegetarian as well.

Loved all the info you provided and honest opinions. Only thing I found a bit silly was the comparison of Schengen city with Mumbai or Bengaluru 😅. Please - there isn’t a single road or footpath in any corner of Indian cities that can be compared with the cities in China. The chaos in Indian cities is uniquely Indian, and even villages in China seem to be much more orderly. Chinese cities are comparable to US or European cities, we can compare ours to Pakistani or African cities.

Welcome to China! I suggest that you have your language translater ready before you communicate with the locals and DON'T expect that they know English. As for vegetarian food, actually you are in good shape as we eat a lot of dishes without any meat. However, you need to know a bit of Chinese cuisine to find them. First, you can go to proper restaurant that serves rice and dishes, not the street vendors, where they have a big menu and usually with quite some choices of vegetable dishes. Second, try things other than rice, such as flour or rice noodles, baozi, all kinds of dumplings, etc, and ask them for no meat options. Trust me. If you do a little homework, you can find a huge variety of authentic Chinese vegetarian food. By the way, we don't view egg as meat. So if you mind, please be aware. In addition, if you visit northwest China, such as Xinjiang, Xi an, etc, be prepared that it will get a little harder to find vegetarian food as they eat a lot of lamb and beef. Anyway, hope you enjoy your time in China!
Since you are in Shenzhen, do try classic Cantonese breakfast 肠粉 (pronounced "Chang fen"). It has vegetarian option. In fact, many Chinese breakfast options are vegetarian! You can have them anytime in the day though.
