Today we finished up the last leg of the Indiana Cave Trail. The Indiana Cave Trail consisted of Bluespring Caverns, Indiana Caverns, Marengo Cave, and Squire Boone Caverns. We have now toured all four caves and completed the trail and were given our free t shirts!
Bluespring Caverns is a natural wonder. An hour-long boat tour allows you to explore and experience the majestic underground. Passages and water-courses are illuminated by the pocket of light that follows your tour boat through darkness. It almost feels like you are in another world or in another planet.
A visit to Bluespring Caverns will bring you, first of all, to the park above the Caverns. Mine for gems in the gemstone mining sluice, hike the trails, look through the gift shop and enjoy a picnic lunch and explore an underground world of wonders on our guided tour.
Walk around INDIANA’S LARGEST SINKHOLE
Before or after your tour, enjoy the half-mile, nature trail in the Ruth & Emery Bolton Natural Area.
Experience the connection of the land above to the great caverns hidden below as loop around Indiana’s largest karst plain sinkhole, over 90 feet deep and covering ten acres.

Loved the continuing cave trail journey, Terri and Keith. We'd love to take a boat ride though a cave! We hiked and snorkeled but never a boat. Loved going along with you! We enjoyed the series.

I would absolutely love this. I’ve always loved caves, but have never explored one by boat. How cool. Yes, that climb back us was probably a killer. Nice souvenir shop.

Definitely! There were about 25 spots that were marked so we hated that we didn’t have the guide with us!

That is an incline down. My thoughts would have been, gosh I have to walk back up this. LOL. I have not heard of these caverns before. LOL as I watched you said the same thing about the climbing up. Great minds think a like. Wow there is a boat ride.

There is just blind crayfish in the underground river. It made me feel kind of claustrophobic. It was a good cave to experience though

That does look like a really steep ramp to walk down. We have toured a number of Caverns over the years but have never been in caves that you ride through in a boat - though we have seen a couple of them on RU-vid before. It looks very cool. We would love to do the overnight campout in the cave. That sounds fun! Thanks for taking us along for this tour of Bluespring Caverns!

I'm quick to attribute huffing and puffing whilst climbing hills to being older.... but actually.... we got out of breath from exertion as children too!

It must be a little unsettling for the cave workers that its being open is dependant on there not having been too much rain.
