@jerseysilverstacker Hi you two 👋. Just a few minutes of research. My immediate area is on a geological sand bar only having minimal. While the creek shown is toward the end of several glaciers and has bedrock. Thus more of a chance for gold and other minerals being pushed and deposited gold bearing rock (eroded over the years). Geological maps for each state is free online and if there's gold that is stated or historical mined...got to be in the area or downstream. Or just test panning ... don't remember is Jersey has little but always fun to see. For me, just seeing some specks in a bottom of a pan was worth it
