Thanks for your analysis. Are you surprised that the league -- leaders, coaches, most players, referees, reporters -- have bought into this "physicality" idea? Essentially bully ball with refs who get to call or not call fouls at their whim? IMO the refs determined who won the WNBA finals games more than the players.
A lot of people I've talked to - some publicly, some privately - don't care for it mostly because there is such a change between the regular season and playoffs.
@@TonyEastPacersFever True. Both coaches even declared that in post-game pressers. For me the brutality takes away from the excitement and joy of the game. The finals really shined a spotlight on the referees' lack of even handed and consistent foul and play calling. I pray the league addresses these inconsistencies before the 2025 season.
Fever have everything but the league and the refs in their favor this next season! I pray they make a much needed coaching change and bold free agent moves and draft picks. Hey I don't think we need another guard! Hold onto CC, Mitchell, Berger and hopefully Wheeler at an affordable contract and we are good there. We could use another big and defensive 3 pt shooters. A lot of the good free agents seem to be in need of offseason surgery, so be careful gals! Let's dump the drama and bring back the best who want to be apart of something special. I just pray they hold onto Berger and get a coach that can use all the weapons they have on this roster in future and current.
I pray they keep Coach Sides and get rid of Berger. The Fever have already stated they will be targeting an impact 4 and impact 3, both veterans who can start, which will move players like Temi and Lexi to the bench where they're more suited. This is in addition to bringing back KM or an equivalent/better player (like Kelsey Plum). As long as they do as planned, then in the draft they hopefully may even move up a bit by trading NS, then take the best guard available to replace that 3rd guard spot Wheeler filled so well last season. With a younger, better guard this will make GB completely expendable. I do hope GB gets taken in the expansion draft, but don't think the expansion team will be that stupid. I expect them to take a better player, probably DDantas. Every other player on the Fever is better than Berger, though, so that's really anyone else, but I think Dantas is who will get picked.
@@PaulRounds-l7c Yea Berger must go. She's not a fit, her defense is awful, her offense is unimpressive. Yea, Sides must stay, only a foolish Internet community thinks otherwise no one in the real world who knows anything about pro basketball has any opinion other than Sides is a superb head coach and the Fever are lucky to have her.. Yea, Wheeler was really good for the Fever wouldn't mind her coming back at all but I think the Fever will be upgrading with a G in the draft so won't need her.
@@NADRIPmusic Berger's defense is better than Clark or Mitchell, and her style of play is more like Clark's than Wheeler's is. Sides is terrible. She takes the ball out of the Clark's hands at all the wrong times and doesn't have a clue when to call a time out. (Rewatch the forth quarter of the game the fever lost to the Sky and the first 15 minutes of game two of the play offs) Also, Clark obviously doesn't like Sides. Wheeler is a terrible option to back up Clark. The offense stagnated whenever they had her at the point. (Again rewatch rewatch the forth quarter of the game the fever lost to the Sky and the first 15 minutes of game two of the play offs) Only an incompetent G.M. would waste a first round pick on a backup point guard that will average no more than eight minutes a game. The only guard the fever should even think about considering is Citron, and it is hard to imagine she will be available at the 8 spot. I am not surprised you like Sides, your ideas are as incompetent as hers.
I agree with keeping Kelsey, Caitlin, and Grace if possible to do so through the expansion draft. I wouldn't re-sign Wheeler even at a lower salary contract, because her production hasn't been great. I'd rather get a younger guard who can run the court and is great on defense. Bonus points if she can shoot.
Can you get Caitlin to proof read all the players association communications. They’re incredibly unprofessional and they just piss off all her fans. Then the RU-vidrs stir up hate and ignorance and the cycle continues. Can she help that players unions not sound like high schoolers? They’re causes are good but are getting lost with poor communication. Asking for a friend(myself😂)
@@dwightcurrie8316 I heard an interview with the leader of the players association, Terri Jackson. Sounds like Angel is in New York meeting with them. Angel might join the group or advise it going forward. They are looking for rookie input, since their new rookies are coming in with money. Caitlin could or should be giving them input since are speaking and negotiating on her behalf.
