Temi was the first one to adopt CC's run n' gun style of play in those first 11 games in 19 days when nothing else seemed to be working or clicking... no one could EVER make me turn on Temi
I love you, Temi Fagbenle! I am a huge fan of yours and I am sure there are many, many others who appreciate your wit, your charisma, your Team Spirit, and I am certain your Leadership. Thank you for being on the Fever and I wish you a speedy and SAFE return.
Temi is so good to help out CC. Now Gabby is coming back for Seattle Storm then Temi is more valuable than ever to push the Fever higher in term of both sides of the floor. She is the top notch ROLE player....
SIdes should protest Caitlin's most recent technical. If the Storm Coach and SDS didn't get T'd up for their out of line antics during live game play at the end, Clark didn't deserve a T either.
Indiana Fever please go on a 12-0 win streak. You need to get into the 4th spot for home court advantage. Indiana Fever can win it all. Don’t short yourself.
Giving Christie big credit for getting these gals believing in each other- coaching is extremely difficult- thanks coach Sides for hanging in there and finding their rhythm, and what they need to make the playoffs, and maybe more! Lets goooo Temi!!!
She’s constantly getting pounded: getting all of the blame when they lose, and none of the credit when they win. CC coming late to camp due to the NCAA tournament, resistance from her teammates and from the entire league, the hectic early schedule with very little time to practice. Despite all of this, the coach has done a commendable job, in my opinion.
CC22 the Truth, and I'm a BelieveHer. Reality. Shout out to the whole team and organization. Heads down, and this is season is going to be wicked. Great shout Temi, well spoken. We believe.
Maya Moore --- day in Minni with Clark is playing at North Carver stadium.... That is SCARY just to hear them... Maya was at her last IOWA regular game to break Pistol Pete record... What next for CC... Triple double game is awesome to see the second time around... Go CC go....
CC is running the show the way she knows best. Look at the difference now that we have AB, Kelsey and Lexie running the court. Tami is a perfect fit and things are only getting better but no need to get ahead of ourselves. Coach Sides is right about this.
This team really needed Temi at the start of the season to show the team how to catch those 40'+ passes from Clark. Now everybody's doing it, but in those tough times Temi was the one really leaking out and running hard and catching all the zingers.
Love how hype everyone is to see Temi coming back. Hope she feels all the love! TEAM TEMI ALL THE WAY! Crazy games the last two to think we did all that and didn’t have Temi I’m just so excited to have her back in the line up hopefully this weekend!
Hey Coach Sides some constructive criticism. The first 8 minutes against the Storm it was all hero ball, one on one. When there is no set offense running through CC you guys struggle. Kelsey Mitchell is bad at hero ball. She is elite running through CC. Boston is bad at hero ball. She is elite running through CC. CC is bad at hero ball. She is elite as the POINT GUARD NOT 2-GUARD.
You notice everyone has got that CC sarcasm. They all are starting to talk like each other. Tami back that assist record will be broken in 5 games. Tami is also the other that usually covers Angel, and it showed the last game the sky played against the fever. Smith could not keep up with Angel.
Sides should do her job and protest that bogus technical that Clark got. If she was any kind of coach, she would be calling about every day until something is done!!!!!
Great news I can't wait for Temi's return missed her so did CC lets go Fever turn up the heat pedal to the medal they will all be fearful to play us!!!!!!
When they play the Lynx on Saturday I hope they can run them fast because Lynx would be coming off of playing the Aces Wednesday and then Friday- the day before the Fever game. Hoping by then even their reserve is somewhat out of gas or shooting power. Hoping too they put Mitchell on Collier who is a shooting sneaky beast on the court. Lastly I know Temi wants to play and hoping she does but in small spurts. The mind is there to play but the speed and game shooting need some time to catch up. May not be sharp though may hustle well for some minutes and be powerful in small segments. Look out other teams when Temi is back to full strength. It will be a bench that will emerge with a bang and maintain great momentum throughout the game. Glad Christie Sides can wisely rotate in those that are hot shooters for current game as some naturally will be while others may not be at their best. Lynx can sink in good three pointers so hopefully Fever will not give them much space leverage to do so.
It's great to see so many positive comments for Temi! I'm glad people recognize how great Temi is, on and off the court. She's a natural leader, and I guarantee that every Fever player looks up to her. Recently I saw a couple of Fever clips of Temi with Leggsy Hull...one where they were sitting together on a plane, across the aisle from CC. The other clip was Temi and Leggsy in the gym, a couple of days before the last Phoenix game, doing what looked like a TaiChi exercise together! Next thing you know, Lexi hits a couple of big shots vs Phoenix, and then explodes against the Storm. Coincidence?? Me thinks not. Temi's the type of player/person whose presence makes her teammates better. Can't wait to see her back in action...runs like a gazelle, soft and sure hands, and highly intelligent. Think about it...what type of player has the self-awareness to say she doesn't want to mess up the mojo? The ultimate team player.
Looks like the cast is off. Yay! So excited to have Temi back on the court with CC. Protect that thumb from CC's bullet passes. We don't want it to get rebroke.
Good job styles last game coaching!!! Switching out for lexie and dantas!!!! Please let berger sub for CC and or Mitchell. let her get some experience develop her she will be another great tool in fever arsenal!! Omg Temi fagbenle come back u have a better chance at a title!!!!
Yea for real love watching Temi play !! P.S. I just fast forward when sides is talking all the time. It only took 10sec of her talking and something she said to be like…yep…fast forward.
I have to admit, Sides is growing on me and I think I blamed her for a lot of things that were out of her control. Like My Insanely High Expectations. Sorry Coach Sides. Please except my most sincere apologies.
Knowing CC from the pov of a fan, she seems to be fine with whatever she has, she'll take what's given including shoves and calls that don't go to her favor. She can garner strength from whatever comes. As a fan of sports, can say that blaming coaches and getting them sent away from the team does nothing to improve a situation compared to if they kept a coach and stuck around under his/her guidance, no matter the turmoil. I believe the firing a coach move is a cheap attempt to appeal to fans one week they're not happy to keep money flowing in without appreciating the commitment a coach actually provides. After all, you take the NFL, they're owned by billionaires who never played a sport let alone touch a football, do you think THEY gaf?
[WARNING: 5 paragraphs post LOL] Over a decade ago I gave the WNBA my first chance. The reffing wasn't too bad then but the quality of play sucked (the rim being too high was one reason). Then because of Caitlin coming in I decided to give it a chance by watching her first game. I was shocked at the terrible officiating. I noticed it was unfair against her teammates too but moreso against her. But because I didn't want to be unfair, I quickly went out of my way to watch a few other games but without her team playing and noticed the officiating was bad there too but not as bad. Then I watched a couple other Fever games and compared to other teams and their games. Same double standards. So I hardcore complained on a few social media sites (mostly on X) and mostly on a relatively new ESPN woman's profile, and she hardcore defended the major unfairness against Caitlin. [I later found out with one of her X posts that she jokingly told some WNBA players, without tagging them, to not reveal secrets about what her immoral life was like with them in their off court private outings and that she in turn wouldn't reveal their bad behaviour] So in my rant ^ I said that I was going to quit rewatching the WNBA due to not only the still terrible qualify of playing by the women starters by a large percentage of the league (though I partially defended the players by saying that the rim is at least half a foot too high for even athletic women), but more importantly that the quality of the officiating wasn't only terrible but also significantly unfair to be hardcore biased against just one team more than unfairness towards others and especially against Caitlin. So I did quit rewatching the WNBA. But then I got suggested posts and articles on X and on FB later giving me updates on how the WNBA was doing, to where almost 2 months later I figured the officiating started smartening up including regarding Caitlin. So I went back to those internet sites and especially to that ESPN woman broadcaster and told them why I was coming back. When I came back I switched my interest in Caitlin [she's still far better than I expected] to instead become a fan of her teammate Aliyah Boston. And then I watched a couple games that were NOT the Fever to see how those teams could later match up against the Fever, but due to gross unfairness of the Olympic team during the All-Star weekend (especially the game), I decided to ONLY watch Caitlin & Aliyah's Fever (and whoever they play against but only when playing against them). ...then this stupid game with the hardcore unfair reffing (though not as atrocious as earlier in the season). Now regarding the WNBA being this abusive in previous seasons? No, a black woman coach who has been watching the WNBA for many years, who has a channel on YT called "The Adrienna Rose Show" recently (yesterday?) put out a vid exposing why the WNBA and major media hate Caitlin so much. Partial Spoiler: it's due to peer pressure from the WNBA's "goat" with her comments before this season started
Yup. It was a long post. :) I understand your frustration. I watched the WNBA last year more due to the fact that I had the time available (cough, retired). I was NOT obsessed last season like I am THIS season. My old ass went and bought an outdoor basketball and have been getting my shooting form back. It still sucks but I am still out there in 90F+ temps. Loving it. The WNBA has been living in their own bubble for a while. They have some significant Identity Politics that holds them back and/or pushes them to do and say stupid things. Then CC shows up. Collects receipts on all the crap spewed. Brings said receipts back to the court and rings it up. "ALL she does is shoots 3 pt-ers" "She isn't playing again 18 yo anymore, she is playing with grown ass women." "She is all hype." The list goes ON. That kids fire is on full throttle. They keep offering up more bulletin board material and the FEVER? The entire team has had enough of it. Playoffs should be interesting. I watch Coach Ross on her show (enjoy it). She made some good points!
