It’s a pleasure for me to hear and watch these ladies handle discussions about their work. Not since the 1990’s Bulls have I spent more than five minutes on anything related to basketball and now I’m spending 14 minutes listening to pregame. Go figure.
I look at CC through my 'mom eyes' and think, "Oh sweetie, are you sleeping well? Eating?" She looks tuckered out. Hopefully the migraines are staying away! Hang in there, kiddo - you're doing great!

Yes. And glad that two rookies will be in the All-Star game. I think the USA team will be stepping-it-up. And, trying to get steals. On their transitional defense. And trying for quick baskets and blocks. A lot of quick running. A fast game, I think. With a lot of scoring, too. Passing out to the perimeter players. I think they will set-up on offense and defensive ends of the court, like it's a regular season game. So, the All-Stars will need their own game plan, too. Playing with quick offensive game style. This coach ALWAYS has the same comments that don't talk about specifics. Why don't the reporters ask the TOP 10 questions relating to her coaching: 1. "Why haven't you developed your game plan completely around or through CC when history Shows that the Team does better every time Caitlin is the floor general?" 2. "Why can't you teach and implement proper screening and pick and rolls to get CC open shots on a consistent basis?" 3. "Why is it that you always put a damper on Caitlin when she starts hitting a few shots? Benching her when we get on a roll" 4. "You are now halfway through the season. Why do you consistently continue to allow players to NOT play as a Team?" 5. "Why do you consistently take out players when they start meshing with CC's style of play?" 6. "Why do you SLOW the rhythm of the game when history has shown that the team can compete with any organization in the League when we RUN?" 7. "When will you admit that you have a problem with Clark getting 18-25 shots per game? Otherwise you would prepare the team to make sure that happens so the Fever can make the playoffs." 8. "We hear you talking about Defense at every interview. Why did you waive the back-to-back "Defensive Player of the Year" and then bring someone back that was slow and lethargic and lasted 2-4 minutes?"" 9. "Why do you consistently give answers that deflect from the questions that were asked?" 10. "What have you done with this team and its improvement that warrants you being their coach next year? You are giving the same answers that you were reciting from Day 1. Seems like you haven't had that big of an impact.
Exactly. Sides always has plenty to say about what they need to do but no idea how to do it. She still has an assistant coach mentality and ego won't allow her to accept help or ask for help.
Hey Coach, how difficult is it to tell your players to pass to CC when she's open? How difficult is it to teach them to set screens properly and catch passes like a pro? Whether you're playing run and gun, dribble drive, zone or triangle, players on a team should move the ball unselfishly. Teamwork makes the dream work. Half the season is already gone and we are past the threshold of our patience. Playoffs or no playoffs, the team needs coaching staff changes if we're to contend for titles seriously.

It's not the amount of shots that is the problem. It's the quality of some of them and that she's not really in a scoring groove. But, biggest of all, she needs to get to the free throw line more.
CC is "the straw that stirs the drink" ... Kelsey Mitchell has finally accepted this, has cut out the ball hogging, passes more and takes good shots. A month ago she was on the brink of being benched so through hard work and quitting bad habits has made herself an All Star...Congratulations to CC, KM and AB...good job.
CC is not playing alone. She has been guarded by best defenders in the WNBA and still made solid passes to her teammates. How many rookies make nearly a triple double? I've never missed watching a game and see steady improvements. And as terrific a player on the court, she is a humble good human being off the court.
Kelsey Mitchell was an All-Star last year. Why is it necessary to throw shade on her because you are a Caitlin Clark fan. I am a fan of Kelsey, Aliyah, Caitlin. and the Fever as a team. Let them continue to grow, build chemistry, respect for one another, and confidence together without taking shots at any of them.
Sides needs to learn that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insanity!!! There are players riding the bench that should getting playing time just for game time experience and building confidence!!! This team better come back after the break as a run and gun ball club that knows how to set hard screens and solid picks so CC can light up the scoreboard!!! The teachers pets need to learn how to pass the ball rather than take 15 seconds dribbling around for a forced shot!!! Some assists from Mitchell and Wheeler would help wonders!
You have CC on your team, a generational talent, please hire a real coach able to help her develop her habilities to the maximum, not this junior high school level coaching staff. This is a worldwide phenomenon, and it looks so mediocre on your part. The longer you keep Sides, the worse for basketball.

A ruptured eardrum can play havoc with balance. Hopefully, they are doing everything possible to ensure that it is healing properly. It can't be a good thing to be getting banged around either. Thankfully, they get some break although the All Star appearance will interrupt that. We may not get the full Caitlin in this league until next year.
Does anyone know why a player sounds more like a coach than the coach. Caitlin Clark, was named as the 2023-24 Academic All-America Team Member of the Year. It was announced Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). Clark was also the recipient of the award last year, becoming the seventh player to earn the honor in back-to-back seasons. I don't necessarily disagree, but at this point the hatred and criticism of Sides has become very counter-productive, and in many cases downright cruel. The organization will evaluate her performance at the end of the season, and make their choice.

It's unreal that after 20 games played in the coach of the indiana fever has not figured out how to give her star players a chance to win and a lineup that works. Here is a crazy idea, why not practice blitzing CC at full court? and the other playes figure out how to set solid screens and get open or get out of CC way.

When I stop and think about it; 3 Allstars! One would think their record would be at least 50% wins. However the NBA proves you can have a liad of talent but doesn't matter unless the chemistry is there. This team needs chemistry. Don't know if this coach can jell that or if it's going to take a new coach.

Christy Sides put Wallace in the game for most of the 4th quarter when the game got away from us. But TBH I don't care anymore, more loses mean Sides gets fired sooner.
There is normally no sefense played in these all star games and you dan tell by the enormous point totals from previous years. This year is a little diffferent being olympic year so im wondering if this might be a competitive game with actual defense being played. Not sure but i do know one player that will be tightly guarded.

Lets see right off the bat 11games in 20 days stacked against all the top teams including all four liberty games before the midway point while the storm had nine straight home games. No matter what you think of sides She understands whats happening when she consistently says she draws so much attenton she is right and this leads to open shots for others. She has to have a screen set to get in the bathroom The best defenders in the world can shut down one player She is going to have to get some of points off the break before teams have a chance to match up in the open floor Her numbers are actually amazing but everyone has fallen in love with the logo three including CC herself. She has a sweet midrange jumper that she has abandoned after college. If you didnt follow her career you might think she doesnt have that. WNBA record fastest player in history with 300 points,100 assists and 100 rebounds.
