Caitlin we love your humility. Never forget your greatness and the value you add. Loved seeing you shooting, passing, and moving like you’re capable of. Reminded me of your Iowa shine. Enjoying and excited to see your game adapting to this level. Props to the team for catching passes and great scoring. AB, Mitchell, and Katie Lou impressed me several times. Looking forward to seeing Fagbenle again. It’s a team sport and I love seeing the talent each of you have. Without a doubt, it’s more fun for all of you. Go Fever! ❤
@@DustyTail At first I didn’t know what you meant by this, but realized you were referring to me putting this same comment on the fever highlights video. Thanks!
@@starfishcrusaders8779- I’m happy all these girls are getting the spotlight they deserve. They are class acts who understand the basketball- not just the game- but the entire sport is team sport.
I've seen a great change in the team after the Sun loss and before the Dream game. Kelsey is an excellent player when she's playing team ball. She's needed. 7-13 FG (54%). Let's go!!!!
Best overall TEAM game that the Fever have played so far this season. They looked like a team, instead of 5 One-on-one players. If they keep playing like they did today, then more wins are going to come! GO FEVER!
That was nice to see. A mild hit, and a Fever player, Wallace, stepped right in. Smiling more than swinging, but still there to show, hey, Caitlin's my buddy.
HUGE NBA Knicks fan here....Never knew a single player or watched a single WNBA game until Caitlin Clark, sure. But guess what? Im a Fever fan now. Watching CC these past few weeks has been great but the team is building chemistry and is getting really fun to watch. I'll be rooting for them for the rest of the season.
This is the Caitlin Clark we know is great. Mitchell, Boston, and other teammates too, their high skills came out today, too. This team will continue to improve.
Great game! The chemistry and teamwork were impressive! Caitlin is an awesome point guard. This is demonstrated in her visibility for open passes to her teammates which results in winning the game. Continue the good work!
I have to change my view on Coach Sides - She was unexpectedly flexible in a way I didn't anticipate and her interview was quite professional - I'm very new to the Fever so just a lot to learn also - Thank you
@@travelinglovebugs7 I don't know what approach you're talking about. But something happened after that Sun loss. Something good! The team has a new spirit, including the coach.
I think a lot of us did not have enough patience with Sides during the first couple of weeks. We didn't take into account the lack of practice and the limited coaching due to the schedule. Christie Sides deserves a lot of credit right now.
I never watch a WNBA or college women's game till this year. What spiked my attention was the news a woman was going to break Pistol Pete 53-year-old record. No man had broken but now a woman has, I had to check Caitlin game out. I was able to attend one of Pistol Pete's games in college and it was wild and memorable, so Caitlin got my attention.
IMO it's not too much of a rivalry. Angel seems to have some personal beef with Caitlin. Jealousy, party of one. Caitlin is making it clear she's about business.
Reese can't ball but she's an activist lesbian of color so the WNBA wants her to be the poster child, part of a long line of angry lesbians who can't ball being passed off as "stars".
Aliyah is rounding into form and showing why she was ROTY last season. Her and NaLyssa Smith dueled Cardoso and Reese and won the rebound battle. How about dem apples? Aliyah and Clark played some great two ball today and Clark did better with ball security. They should be very proud of this win.
Back to back wins! Can't believe today topped the Atlanta game. Kudos Christie Sides on getting the max from the practice time. They say Caitlin is a quick learner. Remember, they've only had half the practice time as other teams so far this year. It really is going to start getting good when Caitlin learns to fit into any game plan with these ladies! It's happening.
If the Fever can rebound, they gonna be HARD TO BEAT! Great to see AB running the floor! AB Is finally getting into Fighting shape! Praying for Kelsey and her family, such a difficult day and year😢🙏nice to see Kelsy smiling
Awesome game Fever. It was a fast pace game, with team effort. Fever players are starting to click. Keep playing like today and a lot more wins coming. Go Fever 🏀🥰❤️
First question is about CC I individually. The comments on that for what? 3 seconds before moving on to talk about the TEAM and how great her TEAMMATES played. She’s was always like that at Iowa, too. She’s one of the most humble starts in any sport.
Aliyah Boston shot 69% from the field! 14 rebounds! 5 blocks! But yes, Clark is like that. I hope the nuts are paying attention: they cried after the Fever won last game. Smith shot 60% (6-10). The team has a new spirit. Mitchell shot 54%. Samuelson came off the bench shot 75% (all on 3s).
great team win, great to see Boston doing better, 5 blocks, 14 rebounds, 19 pts, will help the team win more games. Fegbenle coming back will be great. Samuelson great with the 3s off the bench. Wilson and Mitchell great games
And Caitlin appreciates them as well. Boston had two MVP games in a row. Smith shot 60% from field. Mitchell with the speed. C'mon. The team has come together.
Great team effort today! On a related note, WNBA needs to change the rules to make cheap shots cost prohibitive. Start swiftly issuing significant monetary fines and/or suspensions without pay where appropriate. Fans appreciate competitive play and sportsmanlike conduct. Fans are not paying to see players target any individual with borderline assault.
ALIYAH BOSTON👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 great to see you back looking like the AB we all know and love❤ and that’s why you were the 2023 Rookie of the Year! It’s always AB for me!!!! Also, nice to see Kelsey getting hers as well
Team, I’m gonna need y’all to keep this same energy and carry this momentum into your other games… keep it up… now it’s 2 in a row, why not 3 in a row?
All the players on the Fever are quality people and players. So players have more experience talking to press. Kelsey is getting more comfortable each time she is in a post-game interview.
Great team effort all around. CC will continue to attract that extra defensive attention, but if she can channel that into opportunities for other open teammates, she’s gonna have a lot more of these triple-double-type games. Superstars find ways to adapt and beat you with multiple weapons. As for the flagrant - you could certainly see how something like that could happen in the heat of the moment, without any malicious intent. Still gotta own up to the results of the play, though. I don’t think CC has a “special whistle,” whatever that’s supposed to mean. CC is living rent free in Angel Reese’s head.
Theresa Weatherspoon: Caitlin Clark is outstanding at what she does. She understands angles and getting the ball to the right people. That's what TSpoon said about Clark. I wish Sides would say that about her PG even if she talks about where she needs to develop.
This presser is the most times I've seen Sides mention Clark by name and also be mostly positive in her remarks. It seems like it pains her to praise Clark.
Go Fever! Growing and accelerating as a TEAM in a team sport - you are just amazing - and following this growth is immensely interesting (and of course entertaning. You just ROCK
This was a GREAT team effort! It was an exciting game! It was an awesome win! I loved seeing CC’s teammates come to her defense & aid after a couple of tough fouls/situations! I loved seeing all these women putting points on the board! Good D, good O, great shooting percentage! Great pace! It all seemed to finally come together and I am super excited about it!!!
This was the best game of the Fever. The Clark Boston connection with the pick in roll, kick out by Boston or Clark to the shooter, screens by Boston to free Clark for the shot full movement through the offense, great coaching and team defense. They looked really good. This is the first game I felt Clark trusted her team, no low turnovers because she finally realized there Allstars on this team, she doesn't need to do too much. Great win for the Fever.
@@dotmarceo we'll see. There is a reason the Fever had the #1 draft pick two years in a row. Coaching in the WNBA is overall terrible, but thats what you get when you can only pay them peanuts. NCAA womens coaches get paid ten times the W salary, and it shows. You get what you pay for.
Great win. Christie.. how about focusing on your team to stop looking off CC when she is open or bringing the ball up the floor. Mitchell would rather go thru traffic, then pass the ball to her. She isn’t the only one. I wish the team would play as one and know how to set screens.
Also glad to watch Coach Sides step into the moment as their coach. She reminds of SEC Lisa Bluder. Prepare yourself for how youre gonna win the playoff, youre only hope tired Olympians or playoff teams. I got a FEVER and the only prescription is more games producing 90 points
I thought Carter showed a lot of class by holding CC up when she was fouled early on and the conversation about Angel and CC needs to stop. Just play ball!! CC and teammates are coming together.
So good to see them playing better together and clicking more in sync with each other. Aliyah is hitting her stride now and she and Caitlin are becoming quite a 1-2 punch. Kelsey becoming a consistent scoring threat is helping the Fever open the court, which will release some of the defensive pressure on Caitlin so she gets better looks. Caitlin is still adjusting but you already see flashes of the player she will become. Great game, awesome to see the Fever get another W, more to come!
seeing Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell rally behind Caitlin shows the chemistry already this early in the season!!! watch out the fever will only get better from here!!!
I like the last question that forced Sides to give some praise to Caitlin. What I think needs to happen and I have mentioned this before , is that Caitlin needs to earn the respect of her teammates by showing she is the leader and the center of the offense but also she needs to respect her teammates abilities too when they are well deserved. Once she earns their respect then the team will be turned over to her. Some of her teammates still think they are the stars and are hesitant in making this change but slowly if Caitlin keeps showing them that they are still important players then they may buy into her taking over. If they don’t then they need to be traded and the coach replaced too.
Sky tried winning with bully ball and got lit-up by the refs. This game not Hockey. Angel has-to take a page from Aaliyah Edwards and expand her game. She settling for camping the paint for double-doubles. Sky already got Kamilla dont need you there too. Great team win by Fever. Everybody playing their position. They said CC cant play D then she got two blocks. Lets go!! 🔥
@@natureredux1957 Dana was tangling her arms with CC. Hip checking CC with her hands. Then Angel clotheslining CC. We get it, bully CC and she becomes a turnover machine. Refs were like. Nope. Not today. Refs made that clear first half. So what was Sky coach plan b in the second half?? Coach Weatherspoon, no plan b. Tbh she was exposed as a bad coach today. Angel has not expanded her game one bit with this coach. Where is her mid-range jumpshot?? Is she just going to camp the paint the entire season??
Angel Reese has no game mid-range or else, she is trash but she thinks she's great she is not Caitlin Clark she needs to play her game which is rebounding
@@diIbert Angel has very little control of her body, so no, she was not trying to clothesline CC. CC is hooking players. So she understand Bully BALL real well. The Entire Sky TEAM is lacking ONE pure shooters and when they get at least ONE, they will be a FORCE to deal with. They are starting, 2 Rookies. Look at the record of the other team, starting 2 rookies. The Sparks have not won much either.
