Last time I went a few years ago, I went with my husband, his sister, mother, and a friend of ours. Husband is not a big theme/amusement park guy and was only really having fun seeing how much I was enjoying myself. Until we went on this and I looked over at him at one point mid-ride and he had the largest smile on his face, and immediately after it was over he told me that was easily his favorite ride in the park. Pretty sure he went on it like three more times over the course of our trip.
I love how they kept what worked and the design got updated, gold effects for the eye, brighter lazers, added spirits along the walls, fluffy the snakes retractable fangs & in the final hallway that’s dark with usually nothing going on, added “magic” effects give the illusion the tomb is all crumbling down with the music. Boy do I wish they hadn’t changed the voice actor and kept the original from the 90s. the Indy model looks great but he sounded a lot more like Harrison Ford. I think I’ll be telling my children how at the end he’s all huffing and puffing & originally says “Not bad for tourists!” Or my favorite, I’d always yell back mockingly to Indy in tradition “Tourists! Why’d it have to be tourists?!” Music blaring classic John Williams themes as you exist the ride. Ahh good times. Adventure land is definitely a favorite, If you haven’t checked out galaxies edge, you definitely should. Cheers LucasFilm fans!
I kinda wish they brought back the old blue spirit of Mara design, it was much more scarier and better looking than what we have now, the projections on the doors and Mara still look phenomenal though for the chamber of riches
Last time I was there (summer 2023) I could swear they made the Indy animatronic’s hair gray for old Indy. Can anyone confirm this who has been there? Cant tell from the vids
@@Izakcatloverunfortunate for you, but it really is one of the best from every angle seen, from the rider’s perspective and from an engineering perspective
Wow, I feel like I'm 9 years old all over. Glad it hasn't changed since it opened. I remember standing in line for an hour and a half the first 6 months it opened but it was well worth the wait!
I was the same age when it opened and I have great memories of that first visit. Even the line queue is nostalgic because they put so much work into the atmosphere of it (and I spent a LOT of time in that line for the first several years of the ride's existence).
ok so let me get this straight the ride is slow right it just feels fast cause people keep telling me this ride is slow it only feels fast cause of the bumpiness.
