Hope you all enjoyed it! There are two credit mistakes as always. The first is that Bryn’s last name is listed as Hamill-Petkau when it’s spelled Hammill-Petkau. The second is iAidanugget is spelled with two n’s when there is only one. I did not make these credits, condor productions aka Parker did, all blame is completely on him, I have since fired him from any future projects. (Just kidding)
I find these fan made Indy films pretty enjoyable. They have their issues but they all have their own charm as well. Somehow they can capture what Hollywood can’t… the essence and charm of the original movie.
Simply amazing, I felt like I was watching an actual Indy film. This actually feels and is written like a true Indiana Jones movie, and it's even better than I expected it to be. This is by far my favorite Indiana Jones fan film and definitely one of the best fan films I've ever seen in general. 10/10
Oh man this one is bittersweet - really great job putting everything together Dawson. Our collabs on this and GoYD were easily highlights of the past year, kills me that we can't make anything else for awhile, but looking forward to the next one - whenever that may be!
Thanks Parker. I have the same feeling towards this. Over the last year you became such an amazing friend, and I deeply miss these projects we worked on together. This won’t be the last however, don’t how long till our next film, but it will happen, and I can’t wait.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; this was an absolute blast to create. You may be in another province now but this won't be the last collaberation between MrDVB and iAidanugget. Miss you bud, film turned out great!
Yup and there also recycling bins/modern cars in the background, henchmen wearing black and blue t shirts, Indy wearing adidas in a few shots… etc. This is not perfect, there is one hundred percent small things like that. Especially when it was being filmed a couple of days before I moved across the country
Loved every second of this! You and your friends should be very proud of yourselves, each of you absolutely nailed it! The essence of Indy was captured here so unbelievably well, and I genuinely had so much fun! The passion shined through with each and every single frame, I was smiling from ear to ear the entire time! Easily one of the best low-budget fan films I have seen! Bravo!
20:16 This is the 1920's and there is a can of OFF insect spray in a Peruvian cave. I am just having fun. This was a very well made film. I love the script, cinematography, direction and acting.
Bro this film slaps HARD I’ve been waiting for another Indiana Jones film for quite some time now and I think it’s safe to say it was worth the wait good job 👍🏻🔥
I'm about halfway through it Initial thoughts include: Lots of anachronisms, the PBY seaplane footage, butane lighter and airsoft pistol are most prominent so far. PBY Catalina seaplanes were about 10 years in the future. It probably wouldn't have been going to land so far inland either. They were as much boat as they were airplane. Nitpicking aside, I'm enjoying it so far. Well done. More when it's finished. It's over now. Obviously, the budget was meager but they did make good use of what they did have. I liked it. 👏👏👏👏👏✌️🖖
Fantastic film Mr DVB, I really enjoyed it. Cinematography was top notch as was the editing and special effects. I think in terms of story its one of if not your best short films. Although I did notice a few continuity errors :)
Absolutely fantastic fan film man, you captured Jones perfectly and all other characters were written very well. I enjoyed the plot and thought the artifact was cool. Not bad effects at all, loved the practical effects you used with the dust when the crown fell, I know that may be a small detail, but those can be just as great, overall solid! Loved this so much, looking forward to your future projects!
I used the Panasonic GH5 for filming. Since making this film I’ve gotten much better lenses that have way lower aperture, so whenever o get around to making another film, they’ll look much sharper than this film did. I also think this film was a little overexposed in most of the forest/jungle scenes
Hey just found this and I have to say y'all did a great job. I'm actually working on an Indiana Jones fan film as well. In early stages but it's coming along good
Thanks! It was shot in a variety of places, all in Canada that are all listed in the credits, but the opening was scene was in Victoria, B.C, the rest of the film was shot in Manitoba and the ending shot of Indy walking in the canyon was in Drumheller, Alberta. Minus underwater shots which were done on an iPhone 12pro max, all of the movie was recorded on a Panasonic GH5 camera
@@mrdvb5069 I thought it looked like Canada. I used to go to the University of Saskatchewan where the buildings are made with Tyndall stone… and I spotted similar ones at the start of the film.
Nope. I’m not making any money off of this project so there’s absolutely nothing wrong with making a fan film. There’s plenty of Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Marvel fan films etc
You coulda had the scene where the chick talks about her dad before the fight and before they find the body. Weird interaction to have after almost just being killed. Imo
I guess for a independent movie made by amateurs it's not bad. But they're very lacking in details. Example why are they flying in a Navy plane? And I question why some of the people are wearing polo shirts wish I had not sure or popular back in that time. It's a little details like that that will ruin this movie.
Hard to find footage of a 1920's plane that would look fine next to sequences shot on modern 4K digital cameras, so I opted for something as old but good as I could get. As for the polo shirts, I agree. But we also shot that forest section the day before I moved across the country, so we were on a massive time crunch and couldn't get the props or outfits I would've liked to of had had in time.
