I agree with Spielberg, one of the most exciting things about indy 4 was Marion Ravenwood. It was interesting in the movie to hear her talk of her background life tht was excluded from the series, like when she bore mutt. Also her reaction when she was reunited with indy. It sorta reminded me of raiders, when she saw his shadow in her bar and was angry for something he did ten yrs before raiders was set. It was the same reaction except he never did anything wrong tht time. I cried when they got married cuz it was so beautiful. Ok two old ppl, yh. But it was quite sweet mutts face made me laugh.
So, you think for certain she'll be in Indy 5, I presume? They married, and I don't think Indy himself would want to become an abandoner for the third time, so that's what I'll assume for now.
Except Indy 5 might probably be actually called "Indiana Jones: The Final Chapter", à la what SAW 3D became upon its home media release. It's only a guess.
I remember that I was a child and i had only Indiana Jones 4, was almost impossible to find the trilogy, and I watched this part 7:33 100 times in DVD extras, just dreaming about the movie and thinking how could be lool, my dream was watch Temple of Doom. I was 9 years old, and only with 11 years old, my father bought to me Indiana Jones trilogy, I watched the 3 movies in one night
In my opinion, they should make a film with core taken from a Hook movie (but more adult). I`m dead serious. Indy shoud forget how to be Indiana Jones. Without any aliens ofcorse. Steven, if you read this make a 5th Indy as a prequel with this kind of cllassic story. Sorry for my English, and happy New Year for all disappointed Indy Fans :)
Are you kidding? That would just make the movie seem like a "Pirates Of The Caribbean" knock-off. I'm hoping that Indy 5 will form a GREAT closer to the series. Surely "Crystal Skull" should be noted for its uniqueness in the series and not be held as an indicator of things to come. ;)
No, who is talking about Pirates ? No Pirates, No Aliens, No little Kids etc. I am talking about storie scheme. Indy is old and he dont belive that he can be Indy any more. He is only a teacher and nothing more. But the story of the film makes him Indy once more :) This is my idea. Regards from Poland ;)
Well i had problems with both the alien plot and with Shia LeBeouf, specially when i read that he might be the future "Indiana Jones", hope that's a joke. I think he doesn't fit as Indiana's son.
God, George Lucas just knows how to fuck up a franchise..... "Indiana Jones and the Saucer Men"? Are you fucking kidding me? THANK CHRIST GEORGE DIDN'T HAVE TOTAL CONTROL OVER THIS MOVIE...... Pretty much every creative decision/input that guy had on this film was everything that was wrong with the movie..... He's so out of touch with film making now. Spielberg is still a legend and managed to somehow save this movie from being complete dogshit, and just making it a "not so good film"..
Patrick Chaanin I wholeheartedly agree with you. George Lucas' latest endeavors have gone to hell lately as far as I am concerned. I'm still eager for the fifth movie, because recently Colin Trevorrow said that a "Jurassic Park V" was in the works, so why not bring out a fifth Indiana Jones as well?
***** I don't want to see a 72 year old Indiana Jones. I would've thought a sequel is almost entirely off the cards. Lucasfilm is intending on rebooting the franchise with a new cast. This would be better than a straight up sequel with Harrison Ford in it. Having said that, I would rather just have no more Indiana Jones movies than have someone other than Harrison Ford play the character. He IS Indiana Jones, and no one else can even get close. I absolutely hate how their going to reboot this. Harrison Ford is an icon himself who made Han Solo and Indiana Jones the 2 most iconic characters in cinema. Now Lucasfilm are gonna reboot Indiana Jones and there's word of a young Han Solo spin-off prequel movie...... Why can't they just at least let 1 of these characters belong to Harrison Ford? Not everything in the fucking world needs to be remade or re-told. And now they're going to re-cast his 2 most iconic characters? I'm so pissed off with this.
+Patrick Chaanin The Saucer Men. When he said that as an idea... and then said THAT'S WHAT HE WANTED?! I was laughing my head off. Lucas, you probably shouldn't make more ideas. Just saying.
I dunno y ppl r making a fuss, I personally think the film was good, ok Lucas' ideas were dogshit but at least instead of Lucas it had Spielberg for a director. The aliens didn't work, apart from tht it was OK. I'll tell u something, as much as I like the first three, I think the crystal skull is more comical. Not saying it's the best though. Raiders of the lost ark is my favourite
+Mister Alcohol They r, Harrison said so on Jonathan ross show last Christmas to introduce star wars, the force awakens. He said "We r certain of a fifth indy film and we start filming late next year. Not sure when xcactly it's gonna be on cinemas. I rly hope soon.
I don't think Shia LaBeouf is tht bad. He's a good actor, he played indy's son well, but he wasn't the right build. Wtf anyway? Y did they make indy's son an idiot who dropped out of school. He was a crap fighter as well, good on a motorbike though, u can't argue wid tht when someone's holding u on the back seat. It doesn't fit tht he can't fight a woman but his father can defeat anyone. Especially by cutting a bridge in half.
Except it wasn't. It grossed almost $800 million worldwide, which is more than even the grosses of the three original films combined. I can see why some fans didn't like it, due to featuring aliens at the end, but that didn't stop it from becoming the franchise's most financially successful movie, and I myself think its quite good in itself. For me, at least, it was worth the wait.
