Now that Steichen is the coach, Ballard has changed the way he drafts... he was going strictly by RAS ... now he picks guys that produce in college... doing both is really going to help the franchise going forward... probably wouldn't have Downs if not for Steichen and Wayne... Ballard probably would've taken Turner over Latu in years past... I think it would be smart to play Simpson at safety because of his production in college... Cross is the better athlete, but I'd rather play the guy with production...
