It started in early 90's by Malik Riaz from Rawalpindi/Islamabad & used the name "BAHRIA" in his project i.e. Bahria Town, just to show that the said project is a project of Pakistan Navy... In fact the word BAHRIA is specific for the projects of Pakistan Navy for example Bahria university, Bahria Medical College, Bahria foundation etc.... Resultantly, the people invested heavily in Bahria Town..... Pakistani Navy is called in Urdu Paistani Bahria.Mali Riaz who is the builder of Bahria Town was a construction contractor of Paistan Navy (Pakistani Bahria). So he named his biggest project after Navy in urdu Bahria. Also MARLA is a land calculation method in Pakistan . One marla is equal to almost 272 square feet.

About BEHRIA TOWN it is not a PRIVATE but semi government can ba said. Actually it is for HIGH level people like as it built for luxurious people. Like House prices are in caroors. This is an BEHRIA TOWN AD WHICH YOU WATCHED. But yes obviously it is not in the main city but it is attched with city and there is no public transport allowed in side behria they have their own transport service just to run inside the town. Actually it is now in 4 major cities KARACHI، LAHORE, RAWALPINDI AND ISLAMABAD. I hope i have explained it well and i wish i could made a video of RAWALPIND and the show you that area by my own eye view. I am actually now working in UAE.
