There's a new alliance including US and India it's called the Indo Pacific Alliance United States, Australia, India, and Japan as well as Philippines to obtain China aggression in the borders of India and the waters in the pacific where Philippines Japan South Korea and Taiwan is at. Which is why we deployed Our Aircraft Carriers Strike group to Japan to make sure China dosent do anything stupid that they will regret. Because of US presence, this is why China haven't done anything crazy same goes for North Korea. We basically have Russia Iran China and North Korea against the wall this is why there are over 1000 US base around the world in case of a war we will be ready to deployed 🇺🇸

You're... off a tad. I think you're mistaking GDP, for budget. US GDP is around $25 trillion. Revenue (i.e. income to the government) is around $5 trillion. Federal expenditures (budget) for 2024 are around $6.5 trillion. Military expenditure, is around 2.9% of GPD, 15% of revenue, or 11.5% of budget.

Our national defense spending is the highest/most money we spend as a nation each year, of all categories, other than Medicare/Social Security. Medicare/Social Security would be at the very top. As far as "other resources" goes, I am not certain what @genetrepanier5432 is even referring too. That is so vague, it literaly means everything else in the entire country. If we go by that definition (literally everything else) ... Military spending surpass allocations for all other sectors, prompting frequent criticism of the military budget. There are numerous equally vital areas where our nation's finances should be directed, particularly towards universal healthcare/benefits. It is well known universal healthcare (UH) would not only save our nation more money than the amount it would cost to provide UH. UH would descrease other areas of concern as well. Take homelessness, for example. Negative Health is the number one cause of homelessness. The majority of folks are only one broken leg away from homelessness. The concern extends beyond excessive military expenditures; it encompasses the perpetual inability to pass a military spending audit. The prevalence of overspending/fraud has become a widely acknowledged issue. The familiar adage, "A toilet seat doesn't cost $1000," exemplifies the fraudulent practices within our military budget. The budget's magnitude allows numerous entities to exploit it, resulting in exorbitant charges for seemingly mundane items such as "toilet seats, = $1000 each" "screws = $40 each," "doorknobs = $200 each," etc. These seemingly inconsequential expenses accumulate into substantial fraudulant charges when miltiplied by thousands each. Rather than consistently raising the budget limits, it is imperative to restore balance to the military budget. It would disgust everyone who watched a live committee hearing on this topic. It is genuinely shocking how rampant this is. They are here on YT archived. I recommend anyone to watch a couple. They are the shorter ones. Not the 3 hours long hearings.

we have lot of problems in our own country, and military is least of our concern its just because we have hostile neighbours like china and pakistan.
