I know the Knight didn't talk but reading the captions of him saying "Sup" while Madeline and Badeline stare in horror at the *shade* is way too funny.
Dude I love how frisk is being treated as a sort of secondary antagonist, It's so cool to see them acting in character. This is one of the few depictions of frisk that actually capture how emotionless they are during the genocide route, Never emoting only boxing.
Why is no one talking about how adorable Madeline and the Knight are. The only line spoken between them is the caption of "sup". Show don't tell. And the way Knight just bows to Madeline after saving him is great. Also I want to add that these two are the most wholesome in the cast of characters, one is smol and the other is Madeline.
13:56 Don't forget this scene where the Knight was getting ready to protect Madeline from Genocide Frisk by stepping in front of her. It's a very adorable detail.
The fact that I have memorized every one of these Indie games enhanced the quality so much. Seeing Madeline, Badeline and the Knight work together legitimately brought tears to my eyes. And seeing the magic talking flask and Shovel Knight was hysterical
i like the little touches like shovel knight saying "the fu-" before getting bodied and frisk having the comparison to sans on their solo fighting scene near the end
This is so awesome I love the fight so good. The choreography and the references to the series are amazing. Hats off to the voice actors definitely want to see more of Shovel Knight and his new best friend the magic Flask
Great work honestly. The music and soundtrack was actually my favourite part about this. It may be the musician in me but the absolute blends of the songs together were so good. The best being megalo strike back with hollow knights theme. Great job. I really look forward to you guys continuing the project.
We've been waiting so long for episode 2 of this series, I hope you didn't give up on this series, we all liked this episode. I know animation takes time and if you're in school, it get's complicated with all the study and other stuff, but I hope you didn't give up.

The dialogue shared between Shovel knight and Cuphead was absolutely brilliant. I got plenty of good laughs from it. I would love to see The Beheaded from dead cells make an appearance in this series.

MORØ is his own studio. Literally everything he makes is so high quality and this just episode just proves it. Not only was the animation and voice acting incredible, but it's also almost 20 minutes long! Thank you MORØ and everyone who worked on this and still working on more episodes to come.
I will not believe in that. Madeline first help Knight, so he is now see her as ally. Knight do not have mind, thoughts, bounds. They are NOT friends, he just copying behaviour patterns like grace have a useful ally. That's how vessels work (Sorry for my grammars, i am russian and i am to lazy to use translators)

Also he befriends people like Hornet and most of the characters in the game not only that the Knight has friends like Grimmchild and those small spiders who help him fight while he explores Hollow Nest.
As the only games I ever play are indie games, it makes me so happy to see this with all the indie games meeting up, I really liked the indie cross mod but a series, wow I am impressed, keep up the great work Moro!

Upon rewatching I noticed that there are actually a lot of seemsly integrated 3D models in these animations, specifically for shovel knight. It was hard to tell they were 3D at first, but at closer look he constantly shifts from 2D to 3D, especially his shovel
I have yet to watch this in full, having only skimmed through a few clips, but I REALLY hope Risk of Rain gets some representation in future episodes. Seeing the brothers of Petrichor V opposing each other or even being forced to work together against a greater force would be a sight to behold, not to mention potentially hearing Risk of Rain inspired music. Still, as an indie game lover, I really do think this is the coolest shit regardless of who makes it in. My personal favorite duo (trio?) is Madeline and the Knight- Hollow Knight is my favorite game of all time, and Celeste is really fun in its own right too. Seeing Madeline react to the Knight's silent mannerisms is really fun. Keep up the good work!
Dude. This is so well made! One thing that i will never forget in this indie cross animation is that frisk just came here. And also no talking like in the original undertale game! This really reminds me of subspace emissary, where all the characters have their own separate plot lines that slowly condense together. I’m really looking forward to the future of this series!
I absolutely adore how the characters are represented here. I don't think Cuphead would be able to take as many hits as he did but I love how he acts here.
Also their health bars kinda work differently in this dimension since when Shovel Knight was first fighting the robot (at 2:30) he was shown to only have one piece of health left but he was still fine after getting a ton of damage by it and Cuphead (whose personality accurately reflects his Netflix cartoon).
Although the bow indicates emotion, which is not the best implication for the "hollow" aspect of the knight. If you've played HK you know what happened the last time a vessel showed emotion. Doesnt really matter for this series tho
The red alien robot army (containing evolving probes and their general) is so cool! OP abilities and charged attacks able to cut mountains in half easily. Reminds me of my own sci-fi projects 👀

If I HAD to make one nitpick about it, I'd say the lip syncing feels a bit *off* at some points. Other than that, I genuinely think this may be one of the best animations currently on youtube right now.
Madeline being in this and hearing those familiar motifs fill me with more joy then I could ever describe, I absolutely love she’s in this with my favorite track as well.
This is so perfect! The animation, the voice work, the character writing, the humor, all amazing! And while there are characters I would like to see (like the messenger, for example) I’d be more than satisfied with just the cast shown in this episode

Moro you absolute freaking legend. This is probably the fastest I've ever fell in love with a show. All of my favorite indie stars in one show AND it is INCREDIBLY animated? This is everything I can ask for! I can't get enough of the voice acting too, this is literally such perfect casting!

I find it really cool you made Frisk the Undertale representative here. Every fan animation likes to soley focus on Sans, or in crossovers, make him the representative but you made the ACTUAL MAIN CHARACTER the one to be representing the game and I find that cool.
As a massive fan of shovel knight, it’s incredible to see him in this fashion, being a main character and his entire move set. Of course every else so far is incredible too, and I can’t wait to see a battle between the two knights. Spoiler: Oh god The Beheaded is here now. One genocidal child was bad, but now having a battle hungry maniac as well will be interesting

Shovel knight getting some respect finally. He was one of the first “mainstream” indie games and introduced a lot of people to the genre. Guy should be the most experienced one there. Edit: gadzooks, shovelry sure Is popular
Fantastic work. Very high quality interpretations of each of these characters! The animation is also phenomenal! Such a pipedream but I would love to see Tim from Braid make an appearance as one of my favorite puzzle platformers.

I love this it shows how dangerous and powerful the indie characters really are when their no longer shackled by the laws of their respective games, especially Cuphead. If he got access to all of his abilities at once, then he really is a menace.
I would have said chara is now thr strongest in this state but they lack movement. What if the knight could use the wings infinitely? What if they've no need for soul to cast spells? But then again in that case cuphead could infinitely cast the invincibility powerup, so i think they still have their limitations, or else cuphead wouldn't have lost to shovel knight and the hollow knight wouldnt have fallen
Idk dawg, The Knight doesn't have much of a personality. The whole "No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering." Thing is pretty damning when it comes to that kind of thing.

I love that you paired up Madeline with Knight. Despite having little screen time, their interactions are perfect. Plus, the duo makes sense given their games revolve heavily around platforming and climbing. Also, Madeline and Badeline's voices are PERFECT.
Yo i loved madelines voice considering they were the first indie platformer i played and yes the voices for them were PERFECT! Also fyi in the credits you can hear a remixed mirror temple
I love this so much! I've beaten all of these games except for Hollow Knight (I'll get around to it I swear), and seeing all these indie gaming icons interact is really cool, feels a lot like the Subspace Emissary from Brawl. All the characters were represented so well, loved the dynamic between Cuphead and Shovel Knight. And as someone who's played way more UT/DR than the other games I loved all the attention to detail with frisk like having a crazy high power level after the genocide route of 38 million, 38 being 2 times the LV 19 you get at the end of the route. So much polish and care put into this
There is a possibility for Sash Lilac (in her Freedom Planet 2 look) to appear in a future episode in this series (she is an indie character), but I won't expect her to appear in the next episode, that would be cramming characters (and I don't want to be doing that). Incredible animation, btw.
13:49 This scene gave me so much chill, the way Frisk is still fighting and straight up limping with that lifeless stare even after being Mutilated and still putting up a fight, and that music added to it makes it so much more chilling

As someone whose favorite games are Hollow Knight and Celeste, I absolutely adore Knight and Madelline together. AND CAN I JUST SAY THE WAY THE KNIGHT BOWED AFTER MADELLINE SAVED THEM, AND THEN THE SMILE FROM MADELLINE, I JUST CAN'T, IT'S TOO CUTE AND TOO AWESOME. Astonishing job
@@RushWheeler the knight and the siblings (or voidlings as I like to call them) are all genderless. The knight does obtain the king's mark, and as such becomes (technically) king. but due to it being genderless, some people give it the title "monarch" instead
Despite Celeste's popularity, there has never been a truly quality animation depicting her At least that was until now, because this (for me) does cover that missing piece in the fandom, although it's not exclusive to her

In the same way, it would not be good to ask for perfection, since it is the 1st time that she has been seen with an admirable quality, although I still hope that her movements improve Personally, I only came to see this animation because of her, because all the others already have (maybe I'm wrong with someone) a lot of repercussion (and sometimes it's tiring to see so many of these), and giving prominence to some smaller ones feels good, he deserves them

Man, this animator is so underrated, he deserves recognition all over youtube like bigger animators who do such as Alan Becker, Gildedguy, JzBoy, Sr Pelo, Jaiden animations, etc… About the animation: it is an instant 10/10 it felt like i am watching a movie or some random TV series about indie game characters gathering up to fight against an all powerful army of drones and their leader who is more of an illusionist
I wasn't thinking a game without any actual combat would be part of something like this. If so i'm hoping for Niko oneshot (tho all they can do is walk so uh) or Lily from Spiritfarer.

12:57 I like how it took a crap ton of “Real Knives” to defeat Frisk, because the of the “Real knife’s” attack stat being 99. Because if you checked Undyne the Undying’s stats” in the genocide route, she also has an attack stat of 99. If you hacked the game to get the heart locket early in that fight, Undyne’s attacks would literally do like 1 - 2 damage from what I remember.

Did not expect this level of grandeur, the characters act right, the voices are really good, the plot is solid, this has passion and love written all over it.
Dude, this animation went WAY beyond my expectations! The action is great, the voice acting's great, and I think the plot shows great potential. I would absolutely LOVE it if you continued this series.
I cant wait for Peppino Spaghetti to appear in episode 2 and tell the cast; "Don't you get it? Its time." And then Cuphead replies with, "Time? Time for what?" and then Peppino turns around and tells them "Its Pizza Time..." as he looks solemnly into the distance. Best part of the whoke series.
Genocide Frisk is a pretty neat idea as opposed to Pacifist (where their true name is revealed and I think more people associate the character with), especially since the series is probably focusing on combat. Frisk being a (secondary?) antagonist everyone has to watch out for is probably going to lead to some interesting interactions.
Subspace emissary but for indie characters? Oh yeah, this is my new favorite thing. Lol but seriously this is insane. The animation, the voice acting, the fight choreography, art in its purest form. I'm looking forward to where this series goes
