@indiegarona Thanks for the reply. I think the main thing is that your gear needs to be able to support it, which it necessarily doesn't before ilvl 333. At that point, Atonement begins to heal for a lot (I'm seeing 20k crits) and the mana gains from things like Archangel compensates for the loss quite well. As long as the tank doesn't need a lot of attention, I find Atonement to be a very efficient method actually, although the 15 yard radius sometimes presents with certain limitations.

i know this means nothing but with classic wrath on its way, and penance reminded me of the good old days during cata disc priest. Disc priest was a monster in "crit healing" if you over capped crit/Spirit. mana was never a issue, which i just fire off Power Word: Radiance to effect everyone with atonement then start laying the dps on mobs/boss. While keeping atonement up on everyone I just crit healed heroic's and raid's. never really needed to direct heal expected for those "oh crap" tank is taking massive spike damage from boss" moments due to either poor gear or new players "which i did not mind and welcomed it" It made healing a little more fun which also allowed me to show off my build more.

Forgot to mention that surge of light is outstanding. For smite healing (which is stupid as hell) or regular healing an instant and free flash heal is awesome since it now heals for almost as much as greater heal

Pending on the owner private servers still use old builds for what ever expansion/patch they are running on the server So at least you are helping those trying to find a decent build for cata.

The only problem I have with smite healing is that it eats a lot of mana and in most cases, it is simply more efficient for me to not smite and just heal the old fashion way. I'm only getting to 85 so my experience is limited to 5-mans, but I'm interested how you've dealt with this problem? Does our mana situation change drastically upon entering raids and gearing up?

Is there anything i need to change on my fraps so i can record it without going down to around 30 fps :/ My normal fps is around 60 but as soon as i start recording it just plummets down to 30-40 and its bumpy

@indiegarona i have a disc priest what i do is pretty much the same but i do power word shield because it gives you more mama when it goes down so you can stay on top of the absorbs:)

@FightNHB dunno much bout disc priest, but as i was watching this, soul warding looks to be good paired with renewed hope, cause, the more weakened soul targets, the more crits, dunno if it's a good thing, but it's just what i thought from this.

Desperate heal is very eficient because i use on mine , to not waste mana on healing me

TIP: you can disable LUA errors under the interface menu! so just download sexymap if you want

Yep. This cements my from holy switch now that it's 4.0.6. For surreeee. Btw one thing I notice if you post awesome (and quite well done/edited imo) wow vids like this, throw up your mods, armor, stats things like that. Fucking tools are going to bash you and be like, "DURH 5 MORE INT THEN YOU DURH," but your set up is fresh. Mine is...good. lol. I love UI tweaking and was wondering about 85 armor since my first priest still is only at 62. So I'd really appreciate that if you can do that.

Soul warding is kinda trash, the only reason we cast pw:s is to gain mana back off rapture. we dont need its cd reduced.ToT is a must have due to the fact that we almost only cast Gheal/smite. I would also be looking at glyph of PoH instead of PW:B if you find yourself in encounters where u are raid healing a bit. And i believe crit >haste if we are tank healing,which id say 95% of the time we are. not tryin to bash ur vid, just giving some extra advice.
