Nárhi Jámaxaki, I'm Steve, I'm 55% Purépecha, my father comes from Zinaparo, Michoacan, he started teaching me some of the Purépecha language when I was a teen, the first word he taught me was Ichusketa, meaning tortilla, even at age 11 he had a medicine man from Michoacan come do a burning sage healing ceremony over me, I have learned so much more about our Purépecha tribe and i will help anyone who is Purépecha learn more, Diosï Meiamu.

My understanding about the Purhepecha is that the birth place of the Purhepecha culture began in Tzacupu. I have not seen any academic work mentioning Tzacapu as the birth place of the Purhepecha Culture. Its only when you visit Tzacapu that the locals and museums there inform you that Tzacapu was the birth place of the Purhepecha culture.
