Quite chill and informative. Loved it!! I also wash my hair once a month as of recent i did a hot oil treatment, then a clay mask, followed by my homemade avocado mask with natural oils, honey and aloe vera, then a ACV rinse. Worked wonders. I leave in the ACV, my hair loves it. I do not use shampoos or conditioners at all.

Oh I envy you! I wish I could go that long without washing my hair and leaving the ACV in; my family can't stand the smell XD

Omg! Thank you so much for the point about essential oils making your hair smell. I use tea tree oil a lot, I dilute it though, but I think I’ll peel back using it because my hair can smell sometimes. ❤

this is great cause I'm switching to all natural too. and i can feel the difference in my hair and at first it was breaking but my hair actually is growing faster in the last two months than it has in the last two years. ill continue to slowly take out the other stuff. but i make my own oils now. and i did add Ayurvedic masks. they have truly helped. i am not a define your curls person but when i started using it i saw my hair like my daughter's. but i primarily wear twist anyway so for me it's not a big deal. thanks for the info.

she is a great person to follow cause she doesn't go by trendz.

I used to be completely wrapped up in hair type myself, until it dawned on me that that doesn't help with individuals who may have a number of different things going on. God made us all different and therefore we also have differing hair. That being said, I was also pleased that I found out about someone who doesn't follow a lot of trends and instead does an all natural and simple routine that works

I think washing hair less often, i.e could benefit for people that have dry scalp like me, especially if you're anemic because we get poor blood circulation (hence the importance of scalp massages and stimulating oils like peppermint oil). Again do what works for you and if it Ain't broke, don't fix it

Very true! I have stretched washes from any length of time between a couple days and an entire month. It all depends on the person for sure

Yes diluting the ACV is important, its quite strong. Im immune to the scent but my family not so much. Lol.

I am curious how much length you retained in inches. It's hard to guage when you say bra strap length to waist length because of differences in height. Otherwise congratulations on your success.

I've actually never measured my hair, but for reference, I'm 5'3!

I wanted to try her method. Awesome challenge. Do you braid your hair then twist it? I knew I had to wash my scalp and it gets irritated with apple cider vinegar. So its nice to see her method personalized and still very effective.

I've seen a couple women who start their twists off with braids. I believe I tried it once but I don't remember why I didn't like it... I'll try it again though!

@Simply Julia Lauren I definitely have been following the method to the T thanks to you and Indigenous Strandz so thank you, thank you, thank you. I just have one question. Did you ever find out your low porosity hair? In the first month, I definitely feel the same thing you felt of it feeling like it lacked something. However, I'm definitely trying to wait another month for my hair to adjust and definitely, as you said, be consistent. But I've been curious if you ever found out about your porosity. Thank you!!!!

Lol, I still have yet to try to figure it out! I have no idea but I will try to find out and make a video for it soon enough! Thank you so much for your comment!

Hey 👋 how is it working out for you?
@Vjuste00
@Vjuste00 3 года назад
@@nadinepugh9899 Hey Nadine!!! So I definitely did give the process two months and I had to unfortunately let some aspects go and get back to my original routine. BUT I definitely still keep some things from Simply Julia Lauren and Indigenous Strandz. I've definitely learned during that time that maintaining the discipline for the routine is important and also finding what works best for you. I have low porosity, dense hair and I've noticed my hair THRIVES off of deep conditioning, water-based leave in conditioners, mango butter (i'm allergic to shea butter) and a specific cream that I love to use; Because of the two months, I learned how to recognize when my hair was moisturized and when it was not. So I definitely gained something! I went back to my routine and tweaked some things using the tools given in this video and my hair has been growing, growing, growing! lol we can definitely discuss my routine if you'd like! It's a 4 week rotation of steps that include clarifying and dc one week, protein treatment the next, deep conditioning the third and then protein treatment. But I've learned this works best for my hair.
@nadinepugh9899
@nadinepugh9899 3 года назад
@@Vjuste00 oh ok. So what is your routine now?
@Vjuste00
@Vjuste00 3 года назад
@@nadinepugh9899 I feel like I should make a video of the whole routine lol but with the first week it involves clarifying with ACV, bentonite clay, shampoo and then deep conditioning and conditioning . For the clay wash, I use a specific amount of each that is much more than originally as two years ago my hair was cut very low and now it’s a little past my shoulders. For the second week, I wash and then use a protein treatment
@sholaspostcards
