INDIGO PARK | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

Today a brand new Mascot Horror game was released entirely for free with Indigo Park Chapter 1. And the first impressions are very hopeful and thus we might be lucky to welcome a new Mascot Horror franchise amongst the familiar favorites.
We find ourselves at an abandoned amusement park and get to interact with the main mascot Rambley The Raccoon. Though he is not a 3D model like in FNAF, he is instead a cartoon version that can move through TV screens. I thought this was an excellent idea to have the character travel with us without the need to animate a 3D model.
The best thing about the game is its atmosphere and vibe and it proves again how important it is to have great art design and atmosphere in the enviroments of Mascot Horror games. There are plenty of Mascot Horror games out there, but some lack detail in the enviroments and the overal experience feels very hollow because of it.
Indigo Park feels detailed and vibrant despite all the destruction and ruin. There are some really tense moments and scary chase sequences and overal I was quite impressed and this is probably the best new entry for a Mascot Horror game we've had in a while. The weakest part of the game was that some of the 3D models lacked a bit of detail; especially the Lion. Hopefully they will be a bit better in upcoming chapters, but nevertheless I cannot wait to see where Rambley will take us next!

They might have been friends at one point and had some kind of falling out, but I think that, considering how extreme a dislike he seems to have, that picture was just promotional material and they were never really friends

he makes one mistake, he looks back during the chase, that actually can slow you down, and mostly make you panic. Never look back, always focus on running away! Best advice I can give for a horror survival game

If you’d want to know what the animatronic said of molly is “I’m Molly macaw! Not rambler he hurt Lloyd he hurt Lloyd he hurt.” (Meaning that she saw someone dress up as rambler mascot that’s why she says not rambler) and he was hurting Lloyd

I was noticing that too, but I don't think he stopped himself. I think the Critter Cuff was emitting some kind of tone and possibly a pulse that was to a frequency that Lloyd couldn't stand to hear. You'll notice how as the player model is pulled away the cuff isn't lit, but as Lloyd is backing away, the camera pans to the cuff and it's glowing along the outline of the raccoon face. It could just be me as well, but I swear I can hear a sharp tone and maybe some beeping in the audio during that cutscene.

i appreciate the fact that indigo park's main mascot isn't the main monster, or a monster at all, but rather a charming character on a screen. not only that but sentient and thoughtful, still goofy and with the cheesiness that is mandatory of literally any kids mascot, but with free will and seemingly benevolent mannerisms nonetheless in short rambley is fucking endearing, there's no way around it that already sets indigo apart from just about every other mascot horror i've seen before.

I feel like Rambley is aware of the player. During the chase scene with Mollie when you get to the “staff only” door, he says “WAIT! THIS ROOM IS STAFF ONLY!” And when he realizes the player is getting chased he says “COME ON IN NEW STAFF!” Rambley also talked about the player being the first to try the “Rambley-generator-mini-venture” so that the gate could open.

why can i see other horror games in each part jeez, well the most noticeable ones was when molly was chasing you in the play thing it reminded me of the dogday chase, the generator at the start reminded me a lot of the ones you need to turn on to get rid of moon in the play thing, and the end reminds me of kinito pets song :3

Listened to this a few times and I just now noticed a detail during the scene at 22:06. There's a harsh string noise and you can see someone at the opposite doorway, but I hadn't paused it until today. With the pause, I now see that Mollie McCaw is already watching the player. The question for me is, is it the animatronic from Rambley's Railroad ride, the one that was pinned under stuff in the employee only area, or is it the 'mascot' as Rambley mentions later "the mascots are..." and then he trails off. So he Knows something, but won't elaborate yet, either out of fear or whatever (storybuilding)
