Everyone in comment section: "OMG he's black!!!" "lol nigga" "Sounds like Memphis May Fire fingered Crown The Empire who then shitted on Asking Alexandria" "generic, shit, omg this sucks". This is a trend though. Every comment section in any post hardcore or metalcore or pop punk or progressive metal. I wonder what makes people flock to things they dislike. Did a friend recommend this song? Did you just see it in your suggested videos and thought "why not?" Even though you knew what you'd be getting? You can dislike this band. You can comment saying they suck. That's cool, do what you want. Just like they are doing. What upsets me though is the elitism in these comment sections :T

My mom says that this type of music is for white people but am black (and some other races) and this is the only type of music I like ...... I felt so happy when I saw a black guy in this band.

***** yeah, I know that it's been out for a short while now. This is just the first time that I've seen it actually implemented; and it seemed to be in a somewhat unlikely place. I would've never expected to see it in a music video. This early on, anyway lol. But it's still awesome regardless; along with the song :)
Yo, it's rare to see a 3-piece screamo band, let alone a vocalist who sings both screamo and clean. Give it up for these guys. EDIT: I take back my comment. It seems like, they're missing a bassist in the video.

Phillip Kenyon He's saying generic in the sense that nothing really sets it apart from other bands in the genre, but not to say its so vanilla that its not good. That's not even a negative thing. The fact that he used "but" only constitutes a separate descriptive layer. And besides, its his opinion of how the music speaks to him specifically.
Phillip Kenyon Hahaha I wasn't insulting it. Personally when songs sound this boring I usually don't like them. I like songs that incorporate elements or style of other genres. For example I LOVE Issues because they've taken r&b (a style so far from metal) and somehow found an awesome way to mix it with a heavy sound. Songs like this usually bore me because of how bland they are. I listen to it for a couple of days and then it just doesn't click with me. THIS however is pretty good, even though its song structure and writing is pretty average at best. That's all i was saying "kid". I'm also 12 years old, so don't disrespect me or anyone by calling us a kid.

I don't know why some people hate on good music just because it resembles another band. I hate when people pull the "they sound like ____ so therefore they're irrelevant" bullshit. This is a great song, so just save your irrelevant criticism.

I liked it until the clean vocals came in. I'm not one of those "If it has clean vocals, it sucks" kind of people. I can't quite decide but there is just something about the clean vocals that ruined this song for me.
Probably because you are used to all the clean vocals in this genre sounding like they are sung by women....this guy sings in a lower register like men should...
