Indo Chinese Style Squids Chilly l Calamari Chilly Fry l Goan Seafood Recipe l ⁠ ​⁠‪@GoanSpiceHouse‬

Ingredients:
Squid/calamari - ½ kg
Oil - 3 tbsp
Chopped Onion - 2 medium sizes
Chopped tomatoes - 2 medium sizes
Chopped green chili - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Dry masala
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Red chili powder - ¼ tsp
Kashmiri chili - ¼ tsp
Dry coriander powder - ½ tsp
Cumin powder - ¼ tsp
Goan garam masala - ¼ tsp
Chaat masala - ½ tsp
Sauces
Soya sauce - 1 tsp
Red chili sauce - 1 tsp
Green chili sauce - 1 tsp
Schezwan chutney - 2 tsp
Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
Method / Preparation:
Step 1:
Clean squid, wash and cut into round shapes. And keep it aside.
Step 2:
In a pan, add oil once the oil heats. Add onion and saute till light golden. Add green chili and ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell of ginger garlic disappears. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till it become soft. add squids and mix well. Now add all dry masala and sauces (mentioned above) mix well and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on low flame or until water dries away. Don’t add any water as squids will leave some water just stir and cook. Don’t overcook otherwise, squids will become rubbery. Add salt to taste, mix well, and cook for some time. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well. Please switch off the gas and keep it aside.
Indo-Chinese squid chilly is ready to serve. Serve as a starter or side dish for lunch or dinner. Enjoy it with Goan Urrak.
