My father was in indian navy , their ship INS RAJPUT, and many more indian ship had fired many MISILE and TARPEDO on KARACHI ammunition Depo and military positions that is what cause Pakistani army to surrender in 1971 , because Karachi was the only port Pakistan gets its army ammunition.

Even Russians were surprised on how Indian Navy utilized these missile boats to destroy Karachi port. The kind of Supremacy Indian Navy showed in 1971 is commendable, they just made Pak Navy helpless. Kudos to those who went to USSR and learned how to operate these missile boats in such a short span. They already had this operation in mind

My dad was on INS Vikrant as a Junior Sailor (Electrical-Radar). As an Electronics lover, he tells me that the missiles used were actually Anti-Ship Missiles (P 15). Our engineers figured out the way to use them for ground attacks. 4 Dec is also the day when the 36th Punjab regiment and Indian Airforce engaged in a battle of life and death at Longewala. USSR saw India as a worthy ally after the defeat of its allies in the middle east in 1967 by Israel. Pakistan actually wanted to do what Israel did but there was a big difference in their competency.

Pakistan would have still lost due to its poor planning. Pakistan launched pre emptive air strikes on India under operation Chengis khan. It was similar in plan to what Israeli airforce did in 1967 war. But the pre emptive strikes failed. Also, the myth,"Muslim soldiers are better than Hindu/Sikh soldiers" was busted at Longevala. Indian Navy successfully blockaded East and West Pakistan. Rather than blame Bengalis, Pakistanis should take responsibility for the disaster they created.

Abb hum jyada kuch nahi kar sakte but thoda bahat attention russia ko de sakte he but in the long term russia china ko kabhi nahi chodega

In deed, Intent and capability are required to accomplish any task. Pakistan have intent to attack India, but not capability. While India have capability to wipe out pakistan, but no intent. When India will have intent also (like in 1971 war; divided pakistan and liberated bangladesh), then task will be completed.
