Wrong way to view the economy. Seems like an inferiority complex statement. Indonesia and Malaysia still has a stagnant economy. They shouldn't just rely on oil, because it's not permanent. The Philippines had the first nuclear power plant in SEA, capitalism was forced in 86 so we had to fall it was closed and now it's being reopened, nuclear energy is definitely the most important as of now and in the future, since petro dollar were created for the purpose of enhancing the middle east, the world could've used the electric power vehicles and machines a long time ago as a replacement if they wanted to. Oil exploration is nothing new, it just so happened that we don't have that much. It's kinda like how venezuela has lots of oils and their neighbors have less. Still my point is... it's not as important as the ppl view it as it is. The Philippines has stability that is increasing slowly now, the issues are just propaganda to create victim mentality, hate, unproductiveness to my ppl and a boost of confidence for our neighbors. Even back when our country was great, we were made to fall to balance the southeast asian continent. Since we have natural resources, it'd be unfair to east asians. What indonesians need is to focus more on education, technologies, be more open minded, since it's not yet on the top 20 exporting techs unlike it's neighbors. The Philippines is in the top 20 along with vietnam, malaysia, thailand and singapore. Our nation is exporting microchips and computer pieces we are currently focusing on that and social services. Pretty soon foreign investors will come back because of infrastructures development that is resuming, because like I said we had urban planning and it was hindered due to forced capitalism and the 1987 constitutional law forcing the investors to leave. Now we're also one of the safest nation, according to 2020 gallup index. We're ranked 12th tied with New Zealand. Indonesia also need to focus on foreign investors and stop complaining like some other filipinos do, due to media manipulation. Lastly I really think Malaysia and Indonesia should get rid of their religion, it has good effects yes. But it's keeping your ppl close minded to growth. In case of the Philippines catholicism, I'm not worried since it's the most hypocritical and contradicting religion so it disciplines the ppl and at the same time they're free, very open for growth. This is just my 2 cents, don't get it wrong. It's by no means to criticize but imply the right mindset.

If the size of a country is the benchmark for the progress of a country, how do you respond to Brunei and Singapore, which have a small area but are more advanced than Malaysia, which has a large area?

@@jbsproject9091 Brunei is much like Qatar, Kuwait n Oman, a tiny country rich with oil reserves... I think u r extremely wrong to equate richness with advancement, as Brunei is certainly one of the richest countries in the world, but is not necessarily (technologically n socio economically) more advanced than Malaysia... Singapore is very rich n advanced but, is still highly dependent on Malaysia for fresh water, food n fuel supply... Its port ensures a consistent income flow as Singapore is the regional hub of all imports n exports for a large portion of south east asia... Again, u r conflicting yourself when u say that the size of a country is the benchmark for progress!!! I'd never said anything like that... Your comparing Malaysia to Singapore n Brunei is rather unwise... Singapore n Brunei had zero issues in regards to illegal immigrants... Malaysia, on the other hand, has coastlines which are longer than Thailand's... Philippines, despite having huge coastlines, do not attract illegal immigrants, as job opportunities there might not be enough even for its own people... Malaysia has to spent billions each year on border patrol n illegal immigrant issues coz Malaysia has illegal immigrants not just from neighbouring countries which number in the millions, but also from faraway countries like Nepal, Pakistan, China, Kenya n a few others... That's why you should stop comparing tiny Singapore n Brunei to Malaysia, just like people should never compare Malaysia to big countries like Indonesia, Brazil, USA, India n China...
