Haha as a swede one thing in this video is pretty funny. The picture frame from IKEA is called "Fiskbo", which directly translates to "fish nest"

The 60 people who disliked this video are the people who have half gallon betta bowls with nothing but rocks on their kitchen counter, who do a 100% water change with tap water once every other week

In Thailand they have tanks like this on damn near every block outside restaurants. Stores. Etc. It’s awesome

I did the same but for my guppy army. It looks so much more natural and brings out their neon colors!

Great video but I have noticed that my Betta interacts with my family. For example his interaction with me is different from my daughter which I have noticed so although their natural environment is of something else they do show an ability to adapt and don't mind the full glass enclosure as long as you get everything else right. That's being said again I enjoyed your video, looks like you have some happy Bettas. In a glass open exposure I tend to seal off one section on the outside to make a portion of the tank dark and secluded for when he wants some privacy and he seems to be uite happy especially on live feeling days. Great video. Keep it up.

I wish I saw this video before owning my first betta. Unfortunate I didn’t do much research on owning the pet. I was young ofc but I still This video is so straight forward and informative. Not only on a cheap easy set up for a new betta but also the tips on their normal living habitat and habits are so helpful. Thank you! I hope to own fish again, starting with betta and this will definitely be my go to set up. I especially loved the top cover as I have cats!

Hope I can do this. Saved a betta Male at move out (college dorms) that was stuck in a half gallon tank. Moved him into a 2 gallon tank I had at my house from years ago and he enjoys it much better. He swims around, makes bubble nest, hides in the toy plants. Looking at getting him into a bigger set up with live plants and need a filter for the little dude and a heater. Wasn't ready to acquire this Fishmo but better than leaving him to starve in two weeks like the girl that left him there was gonna do. Hope I can get a setup like this soon. Love it!

I'm glad you have a lid! I was gonna have to say something otherwise xD one of my bettas is a real jumper. She's freaked me out a few times. I don't know what she thinks she'll accomplish--that I'm going to hand feed her?? "Give me my food!" Thankfully she hasn't been able to actually jump out yet, but that hasn't stopped me from having a dream about her leaping out and I have to catch her. I definitely make sure the lid is on.

I rescued a betta from a friend when I was young and didnt really know much about fish. She lived in a 5 gallon with a few live plants, gravel and a filter. She lived about 5ish years, did tricks(a few), loved to push around a tiny basketball. If someone is going to purchase from a pet store (don't, unless they are a fish specific shop) then I wish they would be told that even a 5 gallon is too small. Sorry for my English

I had one of the most aggressive bettas I’ve ever own and decided to add him to my 20L with other fish and he’s doing surprisingly well. I think the biggest issue is size and plants

Beautiful idea and execution but two things: 1. your pot has a great size but a tank can also be too big for a betta (> 15-20 g). Or rather too high. It all depends on their fins though. 2. Goldfish need waaaaay bigger tanks than 20 g. We're talking here about minimum sizes of 150 g. Goldfish can get over 1 ft long, that's almost as long as a 20 g tank. An adult goldfish won't even be able to turn around in a tiny tank like that.

This is gonna be my set up soon but will have less plants but luckily planter pots are cheaper in my country
