I’m curious what amplifier topology you’re using here? I’m having trouble finding a fixed frequency topology that works well for ICP (especially plasma toroid/ring discharge) where the load characteristics are constantly changing
Hello, in this video the topology is the same as your Class D oscillator, like a RF 'ZVS'. In commercial ICPs like the Thermofisher, they use a RF PLL circuit to drive the amplifier stage.
@@uecmitsuimarinedieselengin873 Do you know what amplifier topology is used for the commercial ones? I'm trying to design a toroid setup that will work at a fixed frequency in the 13.56MHz ISM band. It seems the Thermofisher ICPs run in the 27.12MHz ISM band, it would be interesting to see what topology they use.
