when Green Lantern failed in the box office, it wasnt Ryan Reynold's fault, that's why he was scouted to play Deadpool because they liked his snarky comebacks, which led to him becoming the best fit for a comic book character since Downey became Iron Man.

In comic lore, Deadpool knows he's in a comic book, thus the constant 4th wall breaks, and even killed everyone and escaped the comic to go after the writers. So, when you ask, "Why is he Elvis?" Well, because he can be. I think that one must be skilled in the suspension of disbelief to be a Deadpool fan. :)

Some things you missed: Deadpool breaking the 4th wall at the very beginning (One of his comic book super powers. He KNOWS he's a comic book character. "Maybe I'll write a letter and mail it in your face" referencing how Boba Fett's helmet looks like a mail slot. "I'll smack a merc in the mouth" is a reference to Deadpool being known as "The Merc with the Mouth" since he's always making quips. "Cuz right now you're no good to me, Deadpool", a reference to "He's no good to me dead" from Star Wars when they were going to test the Carbonite Freezer on Solo. "You're worth a lot to meeeeeee", which is how he said it in the movie, same scene. "He's worth a lot to meeeee." Followed by the comic book panels. In the comics Deadpool has 2 voices in his head, referenced by the yellow box and the white box. He has entire conversations with the two of them. Which is also referenced by "Schitzophrenics pay triple, one for each head". And the horrible, horrible Star Wars Holiday Special. Domino has always had a platonic relationship with Deadpool, while Deadpool wanted more. Thus "She prefers my durasteel to your Canadian Bacon" (Also, Deadpool is Canadian) And finally "Run home and heal from this disintegration" Considering Darth Vader specifically told Boba Fett "No disintegration!" "Understood." seems maybe Fett's got a history of just vaporizing targets.

This is one of my alltime favourites yes! Deadpool had the strongest beginning but boba fett killed the end. Deadpool doesnt give any fucks but boba fett is bad ass. A real draw to me

I do agree reynolds as Deadpool was a great casting. The only one i put above it off the top is Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday so that was great. I do think Boba won from the bobafettywap line into the Domino's who did have some sort of thing w deadpool. (Domino the character)

Something a lot of people miss about this Rap Battle is that it existed before the Deadpool movies. Prior to this, Ryan Reynolds only played Deadpool in Wolverine Origins, which is arguably one of the worst comic book movies ever made, especially with their Deadpool treatment. So the "ditch the prick from Van Wilder" line was valid when this ERB originally came out. That line aged like a dog turd, though, with the Deadpool movies being as successful and loved as they are.

You gotta understand where Deadpool started. He really was just a Marvel clone of Deadshot, initially. In short order Deadpool became his own thing with 4th wall breaking comedy. But, the DC v. Marvel violence is real. So, too is the copycatting of characters. Also, don't be like stupid news rags and confuse Deadshot with Bloodsport (namely the actors - come on, all black folks do not look alike!). Idris Elba is not Will Smith. Deadshot is not Bloodsport, even though they're identical in terms of powers and 99% in costume.
