He connects the two verses with the opposites/hi/bye stuff, he had the whole thing about how he met her in the club and she said she was bi and he was high, then at the end he says "I'm hi, you're bye" so the song describes him picking up at the club, getting head in the car and then telling her to hit the road haha.

I've always thought that too. Not just that though... When he says, "like the gas in the tank she's getting low on me". When you're out of gas, the fuel guage is on "E". As in Eminem. So, like the gas in the tank... she's on Em.

Dr Dre had nothing to do with the “creation” of Slim Shady, and EVERYTHING to do with facilitating his evolution. It is what it is. Slims Ems creation, period. Dre just realised it was a fucking goldmine (his truest talent, recognising others talents, and cultivating it).

Not in the same rap/hip-hop inspired vein as that, but another one that I think would give people a different view of Ed Sheeran is the NPR Tiny Desk performance of “Make it Rain.” It’s blues-rock, and from Ed, to the backup vocalists, to the band (featuring Adam Blackstone…the bassist who was the musical director for the Dr. Dre Super Bowl) it’s straight 🔥 and incredibly soulful.

Eminem is now 13 years sober. That's crazy. So happy he got cleaned and then continue to rap. While like many I did fall off with Eminem after the encore album while I did listen to Relapse and probably heard some of the songs on the albums between that and when I started listening to him heavily when Kamikaze crashed right into our collective minds... I didn't really listen to much music between then and when that album expolded onto the scene. Pretty much only listened to music once in a while when I was drinking or in someone's car.

I love that Eminem had the most viewed YT videos just last month at 317 million. More than any other rapper of 2022! He was also the #1 streamed artist in February with over a billion streams on Spotify. Ole faithful who's pushing 50 is still killing everyone in the rap game🤣 And that's without pushing his music and NO radio play like you said. Shady existed before Dre. That's what D12 was, 6 rappers, and each of them had an alter-ego. Eminem and Slim Shady were created before he ever met Dre. Not saying Dre didn't help, but the entire idea and existence of the alter ego was already established.
